Who's going to pay him as a starter next year when he hasn't played in how long??? Everyone's perception is that he's a backup what is the best way to become a starter? Take the F'in opportunity and prove it but no he wanted more money than was logical for any team. Good luck bro...
Do you know what the Dophins offer was or not? If so provide a link. If not, time to STFU.

Dont know.
He has a job as a back up already.
I think if he moves on it will be for a good situation as a starter. Not so much about the money
As long as he sticks with the Saints. I believe he has security as far as a job.
So he can wait for a good scenario at a chance to prove himself as a starter.

According to armando Bridgewater wanted over 16 M so let's assume that the Fins were close or at worst 10-14 M either way more than the 7 M from NO. I'm hearing fair offer but I need to prove it with a link yet you can just blab on about everything in your favor. Sounds fair to me...but it would be fair to say he lost money and opportunity to prove himself which he won't get back now.

Miami Dolphins miss out on chance to sign Teddy Bridgewater. Bravo!

The guy was asking for over 16 M and hasn't played in forever coming off an injury. Are you going to sign him as your starter after another year of benchwarming? Good luck with that...especially at over 16 M that he feels that he's worth!

So now your assuming a sum. In other words you’ve been talking out of your ass about a fair deal all this time. Good luck finding that “fair offer” that doesn’t exist.

use your brain it has to be closer to the 16 M than 7 M. I heard Fins started at 12 M but no I don't have a link. Anything over 7 M would be a win for the guy especially when you add in opportunity. Armando said in his article that you posted that the Fins called it off when he went too high they met for a reason as it was obviously close. Whatever I've made my point I'm glad that the Fins held their ground and let him have that coveted back up job that you seem to love. Better than starting...ahhaha Good luck!

Speculation as far as I can see, no actual figures. By the way another backup QB, soon to become starter got $22 million ( Nick Foles) so $16 million doesn't sound outlandish.
Speculation OK . . . haha! Methinks you don't like losing debates even when common sense prevails. As if the Fins offer would be lower to make him move... f me.

Foles was a nobody no offers and was fortunate that wentz got hurt twice. You are now comparing Bridgewater to Foles comical. I'll bet my house that he never reaches his achievements especially since the loser isn't smart enough to take more money and a starters opportunity.

Look if I was Bridgewater I would rather polish up my resume behind Brees and field offers next year then be the sacrificial lamb for the Dolphins and ruin my market. Especially if they don’t even want to give decent compensation. He’ll come out ahead that way easily.

The more I read on it the more I think they didn't really want to sign a decent candidate. They just went thru the motions for PR purposes. No offers were forth coming from the Dolphins for either Bridgewater or Taylor. Apparently it was a good PR move, you swallowed it hook line and sinker. Now onto tanking for that 1.1.

Apparently the Dolphins have been scouting and meeting with the some of the top QBs in this draft.

Dolphins have many 2019 QB options, yet clear upgrades are scarce

Murray likely falls behind Haskins or somewhere in the next tier, depending on whom you ask. That tier consists primarily of the top quarterbacks at the Senior Bowl: Missouri's Drew Lock, West Virginia's Will Grier and Duke's Daniel Jones. Each of them told reporters at the Senior Bowl that they met with the Dolphins.

Looks like they may not wait for next year to draft a QB. Bridgewater being a homeboy it was important to appease the Dolphins fans with a meeting. No offer was needed from the Dolphins to achieve their purpose.

Here is my point no one not even you guys who for some reason back his decision have any faith in him. He was given an opportunity to show himself possibly improve his value around the league yet it makes sense to hide behind brees for another year? Do you see anyone giving him 30 M of course not that's insane because he sat last year how on earth would that change next year by sitting again? He will be an unknown and another year older great plan of action for his career. I honestly feel bad for him he's getting bad advice. Sure the situation in Miami isn't perfect everyone knows this but at the same time if he proves himself he has a great chance of improving his stock. Sitting does 0...
Nobody wants to play QB for Miami

I agree on tryrod they didn't put up much effort but Bridgewater would have been a good move for them if the price was decent especially with the Miami connection. He also played with Parker. Reports are that they offered more believe it or not...

Bridgewater wouldn't have wasted his time if they didn't offer him something are you on something? They purposely met to discuss terms. He apparently asked for the moon and it was over.
