It's pretty much a given that Ronda's going to be booed heavily at Mania, so it's a losing battle having her go in there as a face.

Give her a Paul Heyman of her own

Pretty sure he's still leaving. Don't be shocked to see him turn on Reigns at Fastlane setting up a WM match between the 2 to give Ambrose a final WM match and to ease Roman back into things.

I don’t disagree a match like makes sense, but I can’t see a send off like that even if Roman makes Dean job for him. Doesn’t make sense from a dude going from saying he is leaving then jobbing then all of a sudden having a match against evidently now the most beloved WWE superstar.

It's a convuluted mess writing wise but at least the eventual WM match should be good. I did LOL at the ending though because they screwed the timing up real bad. They "finished" with about 5 minutes left in the show and you could tell they were absolutely scrambling to fill the time. The replay, Cole recapping the card for Fastlane, the Steph interview, all of that was them scrambling. And as the show is going off the air, you can hear a producer screaming at Ronda to hold her belt up again so they can get the final shot that happened 5 minutes prior
It sounds like you are paying attention. What I remember was Ronda leaving her belt in the ring with stephanie. Is she carrying the belt again? I just have not been able to watch much, due to how bad it has sucked and watching the same matches week after week, but if Corbin is finally out of the I'm in charge so I will fuck someone over then I might start again.

Yeah, she's champ. That part was really really dumb though. She left the belt in the ring the week prior, so Steph was like "that's disrepectful! I'm stripping you of the the title". Then Ronda this week was like "Gimmie my belt back!" and Steph was like "Ok". There's either no logic there or so much logic it went over everyone's heads. Either way, it was stupid and needlessly complicated

So re-watching the segments from the past two weeks, this is what happened,

Basically last week Ronda said if Becky wasn’t included in the match then she didn’t want to be champion because she wants to face Becky and what happened to her wasn’t right. So this week when Stephanie added Becky to the match Ronda basically agreed and is still champion, she never officially vacated it she was going to if Becky got screwed.

I mean sure, but they haven’t care about Cena or Reigns getting booed out of the building. Guess just doesn’t make sense to me to do a storyline turn if she isn’t going to stay. Because her turning sets up the horsewomen storyline as the WWE horsewomen just have to run the exact angle that the Shield is running where Charlotte is Ambrose.

I think that's the closest anyone can get to what they were going for. It's just overbooked. Complicating matters from last night as well is that Lynch has to earn her way into the WM match. But Ronda, despite wanting her in the WM match, beats her down anyway which would lower her chances of getting in the match. They've had too many moving parts in this. Just keep it simple. The crowd was already sold on seeing Ronda/Becky.

Well Cena's a special situation because of who he is (and it's obvious they never felt that anyone was ready to take the top face spot if they turned him heel).

If Ronda is leaving, I think it's pretty common for someone of that status to turn heel (or at least be 'heelish') on their way out....just off of memory, Bret Hart, the Rock, Batista, HBK, Diesel all turned heel on their way out of WWE (their original runs).

Cena and Reigns will get booed out of the arena and WWE doesn't care, Kofi will get cheered and get the best pop and WWE wont care. Their writers have zero ability to take risks or make changes. It is like they have the starting point at A and they already have it written and planned out how they are going to get to Z and no matter what gets in their way they cant adjust.

Cena should have turned heel 8 years ago.

Reigns should have turned heel 2 years ago.

WWE kept on par and just kept pushing those guys.

Now, the Diva's division seems to be the only thing WWE has going for it and even their storylines are a bit weak. I'm not buying it, but the WWE is certainly buying it. The future of the men's roster is actually really bleak. They got a ton of guys, but they are all cookie cutter NXT personalities, none of them are unique, they all seem forced and generic and the same. And now it seems guys are either like 5'10 and muscle or Braun Strowman big where they are 6'10 and just huge, but not muscle huge. Gone are the 6'5 juiced out guys.

But aside from the looks, they just don't have storylines like they use to. And you don't need a certain TV rating to get a good solid storyline. Guys just cant carry a story like they used to.

Nailed it.

I just cant get behind WWE outside the women anymore because they're all either short and scrawny (by wrestling standards) pretty boys like Finn Balor (or sometimes just weird, like Daniel Bryan), or they're giants with no physiques. Hell, you even have guys llke Zahn and KO who are neither big nor athletic...just 30 something fat guys.

Not really disagreeing with you but, to me, she already is in the Cena category with her national appeal. Guess to me, it would’ve made sense her staying a face until WM then have her turn and give her the Kayfabe suspension or insert whatever as it allows the eventual return or the call ups of her crew.

Cena's replacement is Reigns, which is too bad because Reigns receives the exact same reaction as Cena. Reigns also is booked to be the same type of wrestlers as Cena, that may be the real disappointment moving forward is we were stuck with 12 years of Super Cena and now are we to expect 12 years of Super Reigns? I don't know what made WWE so sold on Reigns, he's the least talented of the 3 Shield members, but maybe it is because he has the best looking physique out of anyone on the roster so he has that star "look"

It's exactly that, and stubbornness. Had they turned Reigns hell, things might be vastly different. Of course, you could argue Punk buried his career by revealing he was the company's pick going forward.

WAS. This cancer deal has changed the sheeple fans. They wont boo a cancer survivor again. The ones that hated him did not know he fought the battle already, the ones that loved him did not need to know to like him.

I always liked Roman, thought he got a bad rap by fans just because Vince wanted him to be the face of the company for so long, but the way the WWE is going now, I definitely expect Roman to get a Hogan response in the ring now. It is going so well to plan, I feel terrible thinking that this whole leave wrestling for his health might have been scripted, and that might just end the WWE if it happened.

I dont think Reigns will be the guy anymore because of his health risk. He will be a main eventer but he will no longer be the face of the company IMO.

You have to admit though, after all the attempts to get him over, he is finally being received by the fans.

Shield winning was a gimme, but it was an entertaining match.
