Feels like a lot of guys will get MVP votes this year, won't be a cakewalk for any winner

Yep. Harden would be the cakewalk IMO if he can get Houston a top 3 seed but that seems like a tough task at this point

Even if he does, Giannis will still get a ton of votes and probably still win by a nose. There's just no runaway obvious winner this year.

There's no doubt Boston is the weakest of the 4 contenders in the East, as of right this second. Still time for things to change of course.

And hell it might be a big 5, Indiana has won 5 in a row and hasn't lost since Oladipo went down. Whoever had them in the first round is gonna have a dogfight

Warriors may have the misfortune of facing the Lakers in round 1, Rockets in round 2, and Thunder in round 3. Then a beast team in the Finals. This will be their toughest title yet if they get it.

The league got to work and closed a lot of the gap. That's good for the NBA and I welcome it.

But they haven't though. The East is defintely better at the top. The West has many really good teams, but none are close to being a Peer for the Warriors.

We will see come playoff time. But my bet is that the Thunder might be the only team in West even capable of pushing a series past 5.

One reason why Steph Curry is immensely underrated. His personality and genuine love for teammates and team makes it nearly impossible for other Warrior players to be selfish. Best culture I have ever seen in the NBA.

My biggest concern for the Celtics was keeping everyone happy. Hayward isn't used to being a 24 minute kind of guy. Rozier goes from playoff hero to bench role in his contract year. Brown is a guy who needs more looks to feel involved as he's really a classic kind of shooting guard. And then they all take a backseat to a guy who won't even commit to them?

And who has the reputation of being self involved anyway. I agree though. Their chemistry doesn't look great. AD trade rumors can't be helping either.

The Celtics definitely have a horrible tendency to air their dirty laundry for the whole world to see.

Why any of these guys speak through the media is beyond me. That sh!t should happen once in a blue moon... not every time the team hits bumps in the road.

Paul George for MVP is gaining traction. 47 points last night and out dueled Harden. He has played just as well as Harden the entire year with playing ten times better defense. Thunder have won like 10 of their last 11 games.

He isn't going to win MVP. No chance.

He has been great. Probably finishes 3rd. But he isn't the MVP.

It will be Giannis or Harden for sure.

And that is how it should be. George has a former MVP teammate who has posted a triple double in 9 straight games. I have always been one of Russ' staunchest critics, but George won't win this award for the same reason that Curry and KD won't. Well that, and the fact that Giannis is a freak of nature who looks poised to win a handful of MVP awards and be an all time great player. And James Harden is on the most ridiculous scoring binge the league has seen since Wilt completely overmatched the league.
