And TT signed his deal off being a big part of a title winning team in his mid 20s.

An "lol" wont mean you were less clueless.

Oh god. You're not another one of those idiots claiming TT is a great player and has earned every penny so far?

Without Lebron, Cleveland will have a very tough time luring free agents and you know this. Paying more will help, but they badly need to find another superstar in the draft. You can try to play dumb (you are playing?) and pick semantic arguments, but nobody goes to a losing team in an undesirable city with a hated owner unless they are hunting for PT and/or $$$, regardless of W/L. Unfortunately, those are the kind of players that keep such a team down.

Playing dumb because you have to backpedal on what YOU said? You said no one wants to go there and in the right circumstances players will go there per you. Kind of arguing with yourself.

As a bad or mediocre team would they have a hard time luring FAs? No doubt. Like the majority of bad or mediocre teams.

As for the owner, players will go where they can win and be paid. They don't care who the owner is.

I realize the situation, doesn't change the fact he's over-paid.

It's playoff purgatory. They are plateaued below the Warriors without the ability to rise further. They would need the Warriors to come back to the pack.

To be fair, the entire NBA is in playoff purgatory then. lol

He got his shot blocked.

It was way to much time remaining on the clock for LeBron to not even touch the ball.

You want your guys to be aggressive.

But, Horford was in his jersey and he forced it up anyway.
I agree......right or wrong, he'd have been roasted if Rondo didn't hit that shot.

great player? Did I say he was a great player? Are you one of those guys who goes straw man when they have no other reasonable argument?

TT is a solid role player. Solid role players when they hit FA often get paid around what TT makes. have you not paid attention to NBA FA?

Not for a double double guy who brings it when he is on the court, almost never misses games when his team needs him, doesn't care if he gets his shots and will lead or be near the lead in offensive rebounds.

You are very simple, aren't you. I said everyone leaves, not that nobody chooses to sign there. You can't leave if you don't sign there first. Duh!

Of course LA isn't for everyone, and George chose to be stuck in NBA purgatory in OKC. If he's happy, so be it. Will he last there for the length of his contract? Only time will tell.
how many teams in the NBA are ACTUAL big time free agent destinations?

I mean- traditionally you would think LA- and LeBron came but trying to get someone else out there with him has been pulling teeth and they have not been able to get anything done in years before hand. They saw Dwight Howard, LaMarcus Aldridge, Paul George etc. outright reject them

The Mavs have not been able to attract anyone. Chicago ahs not been able to attract anyone. The only free agents the Celtics have been able to attract in the last almost 3 decades are Al Horford- who they are probably going to let go soon, and Hayward who is now a huge problem.

Miami, Los Angeles are free agent destinations but how often does it actually happen? once every half decade?

basically no one builds a team in free agency in the NBA- its risky and often times back fires.

The Knicks? They got Amare Stoudemire like a decade ago.

Any team relying on free agency to get it done often times gets burned- WAAY more often then it is the solution to all their problems.

He bailed out Ingram who would have gotten KILLED for playing hero ball.

But, For all Rondo's faults, he's rumored to be fabulous with young players

Coaches?

Not so much.

Youngsters?

Absolutely.

So, you could be correct.

I didn't mind Ingram trying to take that shot. If he's ever going to come close to living up to his draft status, he has to be willing to take those.

I do think though that he may have been better served trying to dunk it instead of trying a reverse layup because he probably gets fouled.

Although, considering the Lakers free throw shooting, he probably made the right choice avoiding the foul. lol

Great you can also name all the double double guys who make less who have hit FA....and have led the league in offensive rebounds.

Good offense, better defense. It happens.

I like that the kids didn't just defer to Lebron and expect him to bail them out.

Happy for you, Bolts.

You have a nice mix of players, with upside, that want to be there and genuinely like eachother.
It's a great group of guys that's easy to root for, even after Shump got traded. I think the team is now good enough to make the playoffs especially with the Clippers looking less interested to make it, gotta root for the Spurs and/or Jazz to go downhill to help their chances. I really wouldn't care if the Kings had to play the Warriors or not, avoiding GSW gives them a better shot at an upset but just making the playoffs would be a win. Also we'd get a Barnes and Boogie revenge series.

Who cares?

The cavs grossly overpaid for a player who's a dime a dozen and rather than hold your hand up and accept that, you're actually making pathetic excuses for it.

Boston has multiple picks and young players to continue to improve/trade, but could lose Kyrie which would set them back a bit. Philly is a bit limited without any depth currently, but has a big 4 of sorts. Bucks are built around one young star that continues to improve, but will need to add another large piece to really challenge the Warriors. Toronto is a bit of a house of cards IMO, depending heavily on Kawhi staying, and even then depends on how Gasol fits.

They all have more flexibility than the Thunder IMO, other than perhaps the Sixers who could have 100+M tied up in their 4 players, but I would still put them above the Thunder as long as they can fit together (brand new, so we'll see).
you think any of them beats GS if they keep their top 4, but lose cousins?
