Gotta love smart defenders that challenge shots with either hand.
Dude....what was up with Theis yesterday?

He was out there looking like Rudy Gobert...lol

Guys get up for big games I guess.

I have not looked at the Thunders luxury bill for next year

What's that hitting for?
Oh, it's brutal....

It was gargantuan to start the Season.

But, after ditching Melo and a few other small trades...

It went from 150 mil down to 66.

Still, I don't consider that purgatory.

The Clippers with Paul, Blake, Jordan was purgatory.

They didn't have a punchers chance.

Hell, they didn't have a chance if the Dubs suffered a catastrophic injury.

The Thunder would.

I don't believe any team in the NBA can beat the Warriors as currently constructed.

So, that means Philly, Denver, Toronto, Bucks and Boston are in purgatory too?

They all have big money tied up in a few guys.

Boston has multiple picks and young players to continue to improve/trade, but could lose Kyrie which would set them back a bit. Philly is a bit limited without any depth currently, but has a big 4 of sorts. Bucks are built around one young star that continues to improve, but will need to add another large piece to really challenge the Warriors. Toronto is a bit of a house of cards IMO, depending heavily on Kawhi staying, and even then depends on how Gasol fits.

They all have more flexibility than the Thunder IMO, other than perhaps the Sixers who could have 100+M tied up in their 4 players, but I would still put them above the Thunder as long as they can fit together (brand new, so we'll see).

He can play on the perimeter, and the Lakers only used McGee and Chandler yesterday, who hate to leave the paint. They have a rough time against guys like that, hence the trade for Muscala with some hope he can help. Wagner just isn't ready yet.

I like Muscala for you guys.

I think he and Bullocks will help.

Not sure why you guys are looking at Morris though.

Dude has a spine injury and just clutters your wing minutes.

I actually like his game.

But, he's injured.

So...meh.

Yeah, I see your point.

I'm actually kinda concerned for the Bucks.

4 of their 5 starters are free agents.

Plus, Mirotic.....

I'm almost certain the Lakers will go with Melo. If anything it's to keep Lebron happy.

Ffs....now I know why the Lakers are interested in Morris.

Ill give you 2 guesses who his agent is.

You'll only need one.

So, next year the Lakers lineup is gonna be Bron, KCP Bledsoe, Morris and Noel at this rate...lol

Nope. But by your definition, every team is in NBA purgatory then.

No, because other teams have flexibility to make moves. The Thunder are still deep into the luxury tax. Their two stars aren't likely to suddenly improve either, they are what they are at this point. Paul's decision to sign long term there kinda locked that team in.

Theis is a perfectly ok back-up big... especially in the NBA of 2019. He's actually weak around the basket finishing against any type of defense. But he's a good role player because:
  • He can hit an open 3, so he helps spread the floor.
  • He has long arms, so he has some shot blocking ability.
  • He has decent movement skills so he's not a total liability against switches.
@WiggyRuss thinks he's trash, though. :noidea: ;)

McGee signed a 1 year vet minimum deal......TT makes like 18 million.....LOL.
And TT signed his deal off being a big part of a title winning team in his mid 20s.

An "lol" wont mean you were less clueless.

It's playoff purgatory. They are plateaued below the Warriors without the ability to rise further. They would need the Warriors to come back to the pack.
isnt that pretty much every team in the league?

And i think we all think there is a good chance that the Warriors take a step back, whether that is this summer or next summer, i dont know anyone that expects their Top 4 to stay together.
