Mavs could storm back into the playoff race but Luka will have to do a lot after that trade and with KP out. Lakers have LeBron and the Kings don't, I feel like that'll be the difference maker the rest of the way.

This has been a bizarre trade request and as of now the capital I'd be willing to give would be shy of the first pick overall. The Lakers have gave them a nice offer considering. No way he's traded otherwise

Yeah, I don't think the Lakers/Kings should be locks to make it. I think the Mavs aren't worried about making it after doing that trade but they are unlikely to get a top 5 pick to keep theirs. Wolves have young guys so they should wanna try to win.
