The AFC has it too easy where most of the same teams can contend and have the best chances of getting to the SB. The NFC is much more competitive on the other end where no one can dominate year after year.

So should some divisions switch conferences? Say the NFC North goes to the AFC North and the AFC North goes to the NFC North? When you look at the NFC tell me a team that isn't capable of winning at least 7 games? In the AFC there are three or four.

No.

The rules of parity exists across the entire league. It goes in cycles.

We all know it's a QB driven league...most of the bottom feeders are lacking at the QB position...that's the blame of the team. CLE has been a door matt for a couple of decades, but it looks like they have finally found a keeper at QB. JAX and any other struggle team will have to do the same thing.

I'd be interested in a system more like English soccer has.

They have premier league, and then the relegation league.

Bad teams are down in the relegation league, and have to win their league to get promoted out. Bad teams in the Premier league get demoted.

16 in the top league, 16 in the bottom. Everyone plays everyone once to determine playoff seeding.

The only section of the AFC where this holds definitely true is the AFC East - which has been a dumpster fire and basically provides the Patriots with a massive leg up on the way to HFA. The AFC South has been a disaster for quite some time as well.

Does it mean there needs to be a reallignment? No.

Well, as is, there are a number of problems with that system as well;

- The massive difference in budget. Which means that teams moving up, rarely have the budget and talent to be competitive enough to stay up. Relegated teams usually suffer from a massive drop in revenue - resulting in massive problems for most of them, and budget cuts to the point of making them pretty much incompetetive if they move up.

NFC does have more competitive depth right now, but over time that will naturally swing, coaching changes, draft picks, free agency... the pendulum will swing back to the AFC having more depth and talent... It will take care of itself over time...

NFC teams are 3-5 against the Patriots in the BB/Brady so it's not like the NFC has a lot of success beating them either ....

The AFC has won 4 of the last 6 SB's

The AFC has won 12 of the last 20 SB's

stupid thread

This year's 'superbowl' will feature the Patriots from the NFL's NBA conference, and the Rams who got there on the backs of the officials.

Will not watch.

The AFC is worthless and should be disbanded.

It is pathetic how they let the Patriots dominate them.
