It's only political now that I bring up why the news is making this news? To try and make fun of the Presidents choice of food? It was political from the get go. This entire topic is political and trying to make an angle to make Trump look ridiculous and cheap.

If it were Obama, one of two things. 1.) This is never even a news story (likely the option) 2.) Obama could have served fast food as well, but the story would have been about how he served the team with silver plated trays that were made from pure authentic royal silver that had been used to serve dinners in the White House since 1898.

I thought Charleston food was damn good when I visited there. Went on one of those walking food tours so we tried a lot of different foods.

I thought the shrimp and grits was fantastic....along with several other things.

Coming from Texas, the BBQ was just meh. Give me my mesquite smoked stuff.

Oh, Charleston has some really good food (although I'd say all of Myrtle Beach's All You Can Eat Crab Legs and Prime Rib places take it for the state, despite the town being a sewer outside of that). But shrimp and grits are a Charleston thing, eaten just as much by lowcountry Georgia. So I don't consider it a South Carolina food the way I do the other things I mentioned, since it's so regional.

See, I have a bunch of family in Houston, and I don't like Texas BBQ. Your pork is pretty bad and I just can't get into BBQ beef, though I accept that many people love it. Give me my pulled pork with mustard sauce any day.

Well my kids in that age range will turn down steak for fast food, so it doesn't seem that off to me. I probably would have as well at that age. These days, I really only eat fast food when I'm traveling.

Maybe it's because I grew up frequenting a lot of restaurants, but even at that age I dreaded the idea of having to eat fast food. Practically everything I ate for dinner when I was in college was restaurant food. Wasn't a big fan of the food at my frat.

I think Trump buying that stuff is pretty funny though.
