REGISTERED GUMP!!!
I think I would lean Pujols. I think people forget just how dominate he was in St.Louis and that his first couple of years he played everywhere in the field.
Which people have forgotten this? I think you propped up a premise and are looking for ways to prove it.I think I would lean Pujols. I think people forget just how dominate he was in St.Louis and that his first couple of years he played everywhere in the field.
Albert....I think I would lean Pujols. I think people forget just how dominate he was in St.Louis and that his first couple of years he played everywhere in the field.

English and spelling arent my strength.I understand if you think I'm being a petty dick but this is a big pet peeve of mine.
Dominant. Pujols dominated in St. Louis, so he was dominant.
English and spelling arent my strength.
I hope people don't really believe that.Trout isn't in his prime yet
Trout without a question. Trout is a much better all round player than Pujols.I think I would lean Pujols. I think people forget just how dominate he was in St.Louis and that his first couple of years he played everywhere in the field.
You're so lucky hammer took the BAD SPELLING rating away from me!English and spelling arent my strength.
Using Trout's first 8 seasons (or 4673 Plate Appearances) vs Albert's first 7 seasons (4741 Plate Appearances) the biggest difference between the two players is strikeouts Trout-998 vs Pujols-452. Trout obviously has displayed more speed, 44 Triples and 189 SB vs Albert's 13/38.
Pujols demonstrated a better bat and more power with more hits, doubles, HRs, higher BA (.332 vs .307) and a higher OPS 1.041 vs .990 than Trout thusfar.
Trout has the better eye drawing 693 walks vs 592. I'd take Trout today but Albert was better through their first 4700 Plate Appearances.
He's only 27...it is certainly possible we may not have seen his best yet.I hope people don't really believe that.
Sure, that is possible. He's only 27...it is certainly possible we may not have seen his best yet.
You're so lucky hammer took the BAD SPELLING rating away from me!You big dummy!
And Trout is way cuter so I voted for him.
Is WAR a bit misleading when comparing today’s crop of CFs to the monsters who patrolled 1st base in the early 2000’sTrout gets a bump for his positional value (CF vs 1B), and because of that he's got a better WAR through ~4,700 plate appearances (64 to 55).
IKR!? I've been searching for a good Valentine's Day oneChristmas is over, bech, time to take down that avy.
