So I think they lose week 1 (unless Minn) and you think they lose week 2...and I'm slighting the fuck out of how good the team has been???

Did your dad push your pregnant mother down a stair case that led to a crew of baseball bat armed thugs to whack in her in the belly?

Clearly, you are implying that predicting the Bears to lose in the Wild Card vs Divisional Round is a negligible difference here.
No, but your hyperbole is indicative of someone who can't have a rational discussion and thus resorts to ridiculous comments as if it helps their cause. I'm saying you are acting as if my comment that I don't think they win a game (depending on opponent) is completely ludicrous and yet you only have them winning 1 game, which apparently is the only acceptable opinion. We all know they have been better at home, but anyone who understands sports knows that those trends don't necessarily hold true in the post season. Dear Lord you are annoying. I don't even care if Chi wins or loses and already said i think they could win a few or go out week one in other threads. I just don't think they are that good. I'm sorry if that opinion hurts your boo boo feelings

Seriously, what world do you live in? Do you not understand that the Cowboys for example would MUCH rather face the Eagles than their likely round 1 opponent the Seahawks? You are a .500 team for a reason. You stink. The only reason the Cowboys won the division was because the other teams in the division all suck worse and Philly is absolutely included in that.

The order of NFC teams I'd like to avoid in the playoffs:
Saints
Rams
Seahawks
Bears

Vikings/Eagles
Then you're clearly not paying attention.

"Decent" is an hilarious way to describe possibly the most well rounded team in the game. The Bears have proven they're a top team at every stop. Give me a break... I guess that will be the new "hurdle" they have to climb to get "respect" before the critics move the needle back another inch.

Because the odds of them losing to anyone at Soldier Field would not be good. Seattle? Philly? Give me a break. I'd bet a testicle on it. There is zero chance they lose in front of their home crowd, in that stadium. The D is utterly brilliant at home in that building. Not "good"... they play all-time good.
When you lose to Philly in the first round, you'll still be better than the Cowboys losing to Seattle in the first round.

Winning 1 playoff game versus 0 is a huge difference. "Only a game"... 1 playoff game is a big deal. Losing to any of those WC teams at home would take a catastrophe. While winning at LA would be as road underdogs to a 13 win team (unless they choke vs SF) regarded by many as the best team in football for most of the season.

Why would being confident as hell about one matchup make me confident about a totally different matchup? Do you even have a coherent point here?

I'm annoying? You're the one resorting to these child like personal attacks and insults. "You have to be 13!"... "Stupid!"... Good one! Real intelligent and articulate dialogue from you.

We've proven that we're a top 5 team in football. The team has answered every test this year and has more wins vs playoff teams than everyone not named NE or LAR. You're blind if you can't see it. What is it? The 400+ points we'll finish with or is it our top defense in football (historically good from a DVOA standpoint) that doesn't have you believing? Believing the Bears will lose to a 9 win team at home is an inexcusably stupid opinion.

Please, I dare you to make this interesting - I can't wait when we dominate any of those teams in the Wild Card round and bump this thread.

You cannot possibly explain why MIN or PHI could beat us. You cannot begin to unfold that game script. We completely dominated Seattle's offense and if you think this Philly team is last years... you're high. They have visible flaws all over.

those trends don't necessarily hold true in the post season

Please provide a link that great home teams don't "necessarily" play well in the post-season. Good god.

Oh, wait... another personal attack in place of a rational point in 3.... 2... 1...

Well, it’s true. If PE1 wants people to stop doubting Wentz then he needs Wentz to actually win some playoff games and a super bowl of his own.

I do not like this poster but how can they lose to the Eagles when the Eagles won't be going?

They won’t. They’ll just say Foles did it too so Wentz is just a system QB. I mean we have people on here bashing Brady so it will never end.

Philly's horrific secondary and pass defense rids me of any fears I have of losing in the post-season at home. Which could only arise from Mitch having a horrible game. They don't have the ability to force that.

I admit, Foles little run is unsettling. However, our pass rush will get to him, they can't run the ball... Frankly, I don't see how they score more than 1 TD.
they benched Wentz

True. Wentz will probably only have more haters after he wins a couple Lombardi’s.
