I'm a Lakers, Dodgers, Kings and USC fan. But according to your twisted teenage girl level logic, I can't call myself an LA fan because I've remained a Seahawks fan, even though the Rams and Chargers moved to LA.

Questioning someones fandom is some of the lamest shit ever. People are fans of teams for all kinds of reasons.

Who are you to question it?
hey you are certainly welcome to your opinion.

I just couldnt imagine calling myself a fan of a city of i rooted against that cities teams in some of their games- ESPECIALLY if I was rooting for a rival team like the Celtics over the Cavs or the Seahawks over the Rams-- a freaking division rival.

To me- its either all or nothing. I could NEVER call myself a Cleveland fan even if i rooted for the Browns and Cavs if I rooted for say the Red Sox over the Indians---- thats a joke.

How can you say you are an LA fan when you actively root against them for NFL games when they face a division rival like the Seahawks? To me anyway that just does not make sense from a simple common sense standpoint.

Were the Lakers really tanking on purpose all those years?
Lakers actively tried to spend whatever cap space they had--- they brought in Aldridge....and they signed Deng and Mozgov to huge deals--- those arent exactly "tanking" type moves...maybe early on--- they did execute one trade --- taking JEremy Lins bad contract for a first rounder early in the process. That is a debatable one.

This is just bullshit. There hasn't been a football team in LA for 20 years and you think that Trojan should simply stop rooting for the team he roots for because some teams decided to move back? That is absurd and ignores loyalty.

All I know is the Warriors were definitely not tanking. Under their previous ownership they were shitty the old fashioned way, by being stupid.

if you gave Cleveand fans the choice between Baker and LeBron 9 out of 10 take baker- maybe more. It would not even be a contest.

You're pushing it a bit

LeBron is a top five all time player and meant billions to the city. The only reason many cared is because of LeBron. The browns have a big following regardless.

More are football first fans for sure but it's not a fair comparison

i had the Browns dissapear right in the middle of the night and move to Baltimore only to see them win a Super Bowl---- and i DESPISE the Ravens. I had no team and only when they came back did I have my football team again.

Sure I watched games--- but I could not imagine say, adopting the Packers or Bills or whatever and then actively rooting AGAINST my hometown team once they came back.

I can't fault trojan for cheering on the Seahawks. Up until 2 years ago, the Chargers were in San Diego and the Rams were in St. Louis. As a fan, you vest a lot into your team, it's hard to just uproot your interests and fandom into a new team just because some new team moved to town.

where do you get that i despise LeBron from?

I do not despise LeBron at all.

I am merely stating a 100% fact--- that the vast majority of Clevelanders would choose Baker over LeBron right now if they had a choice.

His Baker obsession seems to be hitting unhealthy levels even faster than his Lebron obsession did.

No doubt about that. I wonder if he's built himself a life size Mayfield cutout yet?

i totally agree- the Browns moved, and despite them moving i couldnt imagine rooting for another team against the Browns when they came back.

The Ravens franchise left in 1995 and there was an agreement in place to keep the Browns name in Cleveland and to get a new franchise there. You went 4 whole years without a football team, knowing you were getting a new one the entire time.

Regardless, the whole notion that you need to support all of your local teams is absurd anyway.

That's not what 'fact' means. Perhaps you meant 'opinion'?

How many Clevelanders would choose having Lebron be part of the Cavs over much of the past 16 years over the promise of Baker Mayfield's future?

Of course most Cleveland people support Mayfield over Lebron now. Mayfield is there and Lebron isn't.

As I said, people become fans of teams for a lot of different reasons. For Wamu, it was because of family influence, for me, it was because I wasn't switching teams just because 2 teams decided to move to that city.

Again, who are you to question it?

Technically, it was the same thing with the Lakers when Short Buss was running things.

Imo, stupidity is it's own form of tanking. They just don't realize they're tanking. lol

its a good question.

i guess it ultimately depends on how good Baker is.

I know the Cavs victory parade was insane, but it would look like a morning tea party compared to if the Browns won the Super Bowl.

Do you know how many Browns fans there are nationwide? It is a sleeping giant of a fan base. Its really crazy. The team has been SOOO SOOO SOO bad but it still draws every weeek. It defies logical explanation.
