is that your signature? it is fitting because nothing you say makes any sense, nor does it base itself in reality.

If I was being proven wrong as much as you have been in a single thread, I'd probably act just as ignorant too.

Given the history of that '84 BYU team, it HAS to be at least one top 15ish win or maybe a couple of 20 somethings to at least be considered. That's my opinion, however prior polls aren't quite as firm on those.

I'll go back again to the TCU 2010 season as a guide. They had an early season win over (preseason ranked 25th) Oregon State and then not another ranked team until (then ranked 6th) Utah (still a mid major at that time as well). They went in ranked 6th and got a bump up into what would now be the top 4 most of the season and would have been a playoff team under this current format.

So it depends on many factors, however several mid majors have proven if they play reasonable schedules they can reach the top 10. The higher they perform the better their reward. BTW, go look at that TCU '10 season and compare their results with UCF now and you tell me where the difference is. Then look at Bama's results and again see where the results paint things far more than some conspiracy or other nonsense some of their fans spew.
For sure . 16 Houston would've made the playoff had they not choked in the AAC so it's possible. I'm just intrigued by how people see things and how their arguments change based on which team they're discussing . It's always been something I find intriguing

That's not the point. Rutgers hasn't produced anything but Ray Rice and they were admitted into a big time conference. So you're whole, "UCF hasn't done anything to warrant...", goes out the window.
You are a FAKE CFB FAN. Which UCF account are you an alternate to?? i have my suspicions... no retard from colorado gives two shits about a shitty UCF team that doesnt look that good

Yep, by trying to schedule big time schools like Texas ... who a year later, find something better to do and say, "fuck off".

:L

You have no point, you're just whining in circles now.

lol, it's all good man. I enjoy the convo. I was only hitting back on some of the tangents going on with stupid things about transient properties and that tripe.

I would honestly love to see a mid major play a schedule that puts them in the top 4. It would be good for college football. I wanted to see BSU get there a few years back.

however, Bama gets a lot of "gimmes" in the SoS department b/c of the conference they play in

It's funny because the team you are currently blowing claimed an entire national championship because they beat a single 4 loss team from that conference.

Your point: "UCF is 2-years into their success, they shouldn't expect to get into P5."

My point: "Rutgers was let into the Big 10 accomplishing a fraction of what UCF has."

Ummm..... ???? What's not clear here?

I don't agree with their claiming a National Title, but I also appreciate it for what it was. It was an ad campaign that has... worked. Imagine that.

The part where conferences aren't decided by performance over short spans of time.

Schools have put years into building this sport, even the ones that suck all the time.

Fact: Big 12 rejected UCF's application b/c they weren't going to expand for the sake of not splitting TV revenues any further.

Fact: UCF's stadium is larger than that of a dozen P5 teams.

Fact: Colorado smoked Nebraska at Nebraska.

Really? You might want to rethink that statement. I can rattle off at least a dozen P5 schools that don't have any football success, but yet, they are where they are.

"Worked"? You'll have to explain to me exactly what is considered "Working" because I'm unfamiliar with any such gains from an "ad campaign". They spent hundreds of thousands of dollars just paying their coaches their bonuses in contracts for "winning a national championship" and all kinds of other cash spent on it.

So what was the payoff exactly? Because as far as I can tell it ranks up there with Oregons uniforms and Boise St's blue field - not shit.

Fact Colorado squeaked out at nebraska... not relevant but whatever.

FACT UCF Stadium is shitty regardless of how large it is, its rusting and falling apart because they got swindled. retard.

UCF using the "b12 didnt wana let us in" excuse isnt a passing excuse as to why they play shitty people, they have 4 non con games they play against shitty people by choice...

Because that's not how conferences are decided. Plus, there has to be bad teams in conferences, they can't all win.
