You: "UCF needs to schedule better OOC opponents."

Me: "They do, but these opponents back out."

You: "Well ... they just need to deal with it then."

Okay, got it.

Wisconsin backed out with Washington, Washington salvaged one of the years with Auburn. Every team deals with it. Oregon was supposed to play someone this year, they backed out and oregon ended up with a garbage out of conference schedule. It happens. They want to be treated like everyone else, except not really...

No, because I’m tired of you not being able to have a conversation without taking personal shots. If you can’t have a conversation without taking personal shots for no reason then there’s no reason to continue a conversation with you. Simple as that. Say that’s being soft or sensitive or whatever, but I’m choosing not to deal with it.
Convenient answer is convenient.

Sounds like a cop out to me.

You got entirely dismantled on that dumb nonsense about beating team A and that team beating team B automatically means your team is better than B as well. It sinks fast EVERY time someone uses it and yet you are drunk on it.

Just enjoy the ride FFS. You are a fan of a hot team playing really good football. It isn't necessary to celebrate fake titles and go all crazy over we want bama crap to enjoy that ride.

All they want to do is get into a P5 conference. The P5 conferences aren't currently interested in splitting their revenues tho.

Every time i hear it they want Home and Homes, even though they dont make shit, their stadium is literally rusting to pieces, it only holds 45k and they dont deserve a H&H when P5's want home games. Gotta cut your teeth like everyone else before you earn H & H

This isn't a question of whether or not UCF is better than Bama, so stop trying to turn it into that.
Who said that? :noidea:

How did we leap from looking at both teams SoS to somehow suggesting UCF is better than Bama instead of simply comparing their schedules?

LOL! Spectrum Stadium is bigger than stadiums affiliated with: Baylor, TCU, Boston College, Vanderbilt, West Virginia, Wazzu, Duke, Wake Forest, etc...

Please... They've been on the map 2 fucking years... God forbid every P5 conference doesn't come knocking on their door. Boise State has wanted in a P5 conference for over a decade now.

Bama currently is the CFB standard; however, Bama gets a lot of "gimmes" in the SoS department b/c of the conference they play in. Bama's OOC schedule does them no favors, therefore, turning this into an OOC debate is fucking stupid.

I'll say it again, UCF's biggest problem is their conference.

Rutgers was let into the Big 10.

I rest my case.

So where's the cutoff in your opinion ? Should an unbeaten with a SoS in the 70s or 80s get in? A 1 loss team with a SoS in the 50s or 60s?

Obviously every year is different but in general where would you draw the line for what's acceptable ?
Given the history of that '84 BYU team, it HAS to be at least one top 15ish win or maybe a couple of 20 somethings to at least be considered. That's my opinion, however prior polls aren't quite as firm on those.

I'll go back again to the TCU 2010 season as a guide. They had an early season win over (preseason ranked 25th) Oregon State and then not another ranked team until (then ranked 6th) Utah (still a mid major at that time as well). They went in ranked 6th and got a bump up into what would now be the top 4 most of the season and would have been a playoff team under this current format.

So it depends on many factors, however several mid majors have proven if they play reasonable schedules they can reach the top 10. The higher they perform the better their reward. BTW, go look at that TCU '10 season and compare their results with UCF now and you tell me where the difference is. Then look at Bama's results and again see where the results paint things far more than some conspiracy or other nonsense some of their fans spew.

Rutgers joined the B1G straight from an AQ conference that dissolved... Resting your case is a good idea.

Yes, so they need to try to make it up out of conference. Isn't that exactly what everyone is saying?

Yep, by trying to schedule big time schools like Texas ... who a year later, find something better to do and say, "fuck off".

is that your signature? it is fitting because nothing you say makes any sense, nor does it base itself in reality.

That's not the point. Rutgers hasn't produced anything but Ray Rice and they were admitted into a big time conference. So you're whole, "UCF hasn't done anything to warrant...", goes out the window.
