Lakers shot over 36% from 3 last night. That was not the problem- the problem was definitely the perimeter defense- that allowed the Twolves to shoot 48% from 3.

That and the rebounding. Guys like Towns are going to eat the Lakers alive on the boards this season. The Lakers did have 17 offensive rebounds of their own, which is a HUGE number, but the Twolves had 20 offensive rebounds.

LeBron was their leading rebounder again. I dont think you want to ask LeBron to be your best rebounder the entire year but i think that is where this is going.

Ingram looked good last night at least. I bet we will be seeing him on his best behavior and giving full effort here for a while after his incident.

Milwaukee looks good.

Getting Budz was a huge coup for them.

They added some nice ancillary players as well. I think we are getting close to putting them in that top tier in the East with the Raptors, Celtics and Sixers. Those 4 Eastern teams are all very solid.

Pacers and Detroit look to be solid in that next tier.

So at what point do you admit you were wrong about their 3-point shooting?

There are only 75 games left in the Lakers season. Expecting him to admit that with 75 games left is ridiculous.

well they are 24th in the league currently.

What do you think?

however, it wouldnt really matter if they were 30th or 12th- its 7 games in.

But if you are asking me if I want to walk back my comment about the Lakers desperately needing 3 pt shooting when they are 7 games in and ranked 24th....no....pretty much feel fine not walking that back at this point. lol

exactly

if they were 5th in 3 pt shooting it would be as relevant if they were 27th at this point. This is October basketball. DJ needs to take a deep breath and relax.

i dunno dude

you lost by a combined 8 points the last 2 games- and hte last 2 games Ball has been awful.

that and one of the wins was against hte Suns- who it wouldnt of mattered if Rondo was playing PG, Ball, or if I was playing PG- the Lakers were winning that game.

Show me where I said he played great or that he was the reason they won.

I never said you did.

I just think its a stretch to make the connection that the Lakers won those 2 games since Ball started and lost the 3 games that Rondo started becuase of those guys is looking at a very small piece of a bigger picture.

Do you think there is an actual correlation between the two? that the Lakers won those 2 games because Ball started and lost their 3 games because Rondo started? I dont.

Rondo out played Ball big time last night.

Yeah its too early to make any assumptions. Now if they're still shooting this good 30 games in then that's a different story.

7 games in is nothing

Yeah, that's actually been the better part of the defense too. Minny just went crazy from 3. I think they hit 8 in the 4th quarter.

I think we all knew that was going to be an issue. 17 offensive boards is great, but not when you give up 20. :L

and "this good"?

I mean they are 24th in the league in %....i just dont even know what DJ is talking about to be honest. Why would anyone think that is good? besides him i guess.

I would be encouraged with Ball's improvement thus far though while still saying the sample size is small. . 13/36 thus far this season for 36%....if he could stay there that would be a helluva improvment.

FTR even though it is only 7 games in, you realize the Lakers are ranked 24th in 3 pt %?

Idk about you but I wouldn't be on here on Wiggy's case because the Lakers are 24th in 3 pt % which is pretty freaking bad

Yeah as I just said. If you're bragging about the lakers 3 pt% 7 games in, can you at least make sure they're top 10 in the league? Dude is legit bragging about them being 24th in the league? WTF

honestly- at first when he said that i was like- was there some kind of crazy game where they hit a ton of shots that i just totally missed?

i looked it up and saw 24th and then realized its just DJ being DJ.

If the Lakers continue at this pace of 33% shooting, they may finish last in basketball.

33% 3 pt shooting would have been good for last in the league last year and 28th two years ago.

3 point shooting is still a need for the Lakers.
