If you watch "BALLERS" on HBO on Sunday nights, Dwayne Johnson is about to take on the NCAA and the real NCAA has been all over HBO about the series. I think he is going to expose thehow bad the NCAA truly is.

The 'Rock' is pushing for the NCAA to pay athletes what they're worth and to provide medical and health care to all athletes injured while playing in school. Kid gets hurt, loses his scholarship and is tossed to the side of the road like a piece of spoiled fish.

The five main board members of the NCAA all make more than $10,000,000 a year.........to punish kids for getting a free meal or a pair of sneakers from Nike, Addidas or Under Armor. NCAA gets the residuals from all Bowl games, athletic jerseys and they get a bone from the companies that get school contracts for uniforms, sneakers and cleats.....

And you all think slavery ended in 1865??

Louisville is scapegoat.

A number of programs were named in terms of offering $ to the Bowens.

Among them being Creighton of all programs.

how many of those programs were on probation due to a stripper scandal?

I don't think the Louisville basketball program ever got NCAA probation for the sex/stripper scandal. They maybe should have, but Pitino and company slipped right on by the scrutiny without much more than slap on the wrist sanctions.

The NCAA has become a self serving mega-business that has lost it's own way. The original intent was to insure that athletes were also students and actually got an education as part of the scholarship. The NCAA was funded by Bowl Games and Basketball Championships.

Once TV advertising and athletic wear became involved, the NCAA started getting greedy. All of the rules over the past 15 years have been made to insure that athletes don't get shit and tyheNCAA gets everything.

Why should the NCAA get all of an athlete's signature income? If a QB at Miami is so popular that eveykid on campus wants an autograph and he sets up a signature booth, what right does the NCAA have to take that money from him? Why can't that same QB be a night manager at a McDonalds owned by a booster for $1000 a week? Why doesn't the NCAA examine tyhe academic records of every athlete to insure that every athlete is attending at least four classes a semester? That's right, they have to practice and work out every day and don't have time to attend class.

The whole thing is a farce..................Congress should investigate the NCAA and forget about the Russians.

The QB can't get money from a signature because then it's the equivalent of paying players to play at your school. Phil Knight can pay John Wall $3 million for his "autograph" as soon as he signs with Oregon. The boosters at Miami can pay the Miami QB hundreds of thousands of dollars for autographs with future recruits watching. North Texas can't do that. It's not allowed because it gives teams an unfair advantage.

Why should Justin Herbert be allowed to be an intern at Nike making $1mill/year?

I’m curious if any of these cash cows go down.

Let’s see if the ncaa aims in on duke now that we know what Zion asked Kansas for.

My guess is all the big schools walk and someone like creighton, maybe Louisville is the sacrificial lamb

It's third party hearsay at best to suggest an NCAA investigation and even if true ZW never committed a violation and neither did Kansas so I don't see this going anywhere

You honestly think Zion went to duke for free?

Zion saw the unlimited possibilities of having all Refs bought off, extensive cash while the NCAA turned their heads, and the FBI always having your back so it was a no brainer!
