Listen man, I never disagreed that Wiggins and Towns aren't lackadaisical there is no question they are. I am focusing on one practice because you just don't do this for all the world to see, a true leader a real fucking winner goes to them behind closed doors and says everything he can to motivate them to be better. Does he have reason to be frustrated? Absolutely! Does he have the right to do things they was he did, absolutely not! He at least to me looks like a whiny little bitch for doing this especially the way it was all clearly staged.

But wasn't it behind closed doors? It wasn't an open practice. Team sources leaked it. When he sat down for the interview ESPN already had all the information. If you can't yell at a teammate in practice, then there's really no other opportunity in the heat of battle.

Interesting saga with Butler, I doubt he's a Timberwolve past this season.

@Nosferatu

Facepalm me if you want, but you know damn well that KD didn't have someone to check him in his career until it was Draymond who stepped up in that role. He straight up told KD to pass the ball, or to do certain things and he would do it loudly. He would get in his face. He's gotten up in Klay's and Steph's in practice too which have been reported. Sometimes you need a contemporary to get you to understand. I agree that simply yelling at guys isn't always the best way to go, but in some instances its necessary, especially if the quiet route isn't working.

From what I've read is that JB was planning on going back to practice and he already notified ESPN that he wanted to talk to tell his side. That's all well and good, but this doesn't happen unless Butler wins and proves a pretty significant point in that scrimmage. This whole thing has a different tone if Butler goes in there and practices with the third stringers, gets his ass handed to him and then goes on a tirade.

Imagine being pretty good and not on a NBA super team. No chance of really winning.

At least Jimmy isn’t just collecting a paycheck while walking up the court on offense, while playing no D..

The man can D up I know that. And he wants to win.

I don’t know the deal in Minny but I know jimmy is competitive and cares about winning

If your his current teammate how do you play with a guy like this? I mean it's clearly (as thread title shows) he's a "me" first person

You are getting played to play basketball, you have the talent around you, sure they aren't "elite" but come on the NBA only has like 4 teams that are a "super team" Suck it up... Play out the remaindeer of your deal which is what... 1 more year...

I agree.

I am focusing on one practice because you just don't do this for all the world to see, a true leader a real fucking winner goes to them behind closed doors and says everything he can to motivate them to be better.

How do you know he hasn't done that?

Does he have reason to be frustrated? Absolutely!

Agree again.

Does he have the right to do things they was he did, absolutely not!

I disagree here. I'm not saying it was the best way to handle it. But, I can also see where his frustration could get to the point that he would do what he did. Especially if he felt he had tried other approaches with no change.

He at least to me looks like a whiny little bitch for doing this especially the way it was all clearly staged.

I think KAT and Wiggins are the ones who look like little bitches. If I were a Wolves fan, I'd be backing Butler.

Of course it was staged. He was looking to make a point and he made it. All the Wolves (especially KAT and Wiggins) have done is prove his point.

But you aren't! You don't know what it's like to lose the way the Wolves have for 30 years and then you see some guy come to the team play 59 games, lose in the first round then attack your franchise players. Do Wolves fans want Towns and Wiggins to play with some heart? Fuck of course we do but Jimmy Butler isn't the one who should be going after them!

Where did I say that he wouldn't? All I said was.. "Play out your deal" That's it... Never said "He isn't playing and should..."

This is why the Wolves aren't winning shit with KAT and Wiggins as the focal points of the team. It's obviously the attitude of the entire organization.

If the best player on your team can't call out teammates...no one can.

Maybe he doesn’t think the younger guys have what it takes to win? They sure as hell couldn’t do a lot without Jimmy

Why bring it up then? He's said all along that he will honor his contract and play out his deal.

Whether or not he's willing to play out his deal isn't the question.

Of course he wants money. But he also doesn’t like to lose. Doesn’t take much these days to attract a few super stars, go to the knicks or heat and make a go at it

The problem isn't that he's not ok with the talent, he's not ok with their commitment and their heart. That's what his gripe with his teammates is about. The front office gripe is a totally different subject. He wants Towns and Wiggins to be better but he's concerned they don't have their priorities straight. That's what he wants. He wants to win.
