I don't know how everyone else feels.

But, I find myself liking Jimmy more after all this.

He's right.

Wiggins is dogging it.

Both he and KAT are soft.

With that being said, you side with the younger guy every time.

KAT is the future and they are stuck with Wiggins.

So, Jimmy has to go.

He's almost 30.

Yes, he is a top 5 two way player.

But, he's not a #1.

You don't pay your #2 option 40 plus mil per to be a 1st or 2nd round knockout.

Nonsense most of these guys work hard, people respect a winner, they don't respect a player who's never done shit getting in their face.

Key word is most. Most of them work hard.

Here's the thing though, some don't and some don't work as hard as others. The Wolves, particularly Wiggins and Townes, don't always work hard during games or apparently in the off-season and none of them work as hard as Butler.

Also just because he "hasn't won anything" doesn't mean he hasn't had success in the league and shouldn't be listened to. Especially when it's young guys who have accomplished exactly nothing in their careers and who haven't really improved much since they came into the league.

I don't necessarily agree with how he has chosen to make his point, but he has definitely earned the right to make it.

Yeah Wiggins and towns aren't fierce competitors but do you really think Jimmy Butler getting in their faces means a fucking thing to them? Like all of a sudden after playing basketball all their lives it's gonna click because some guy they clearly don't get along with gets in their face? Ridiculous...

We clearly see "success in the league" differently.

He played 59 games with the Wolves, he hasn't earned shit.

That's the thing.... Towns and Wiggins were 22 and 23. Jimmy was unnecessary in the first place.

IMO, this was all on Taylor, going after Thibs (along with the media push as him being "the guy."

:gaah:

what ever... it is what it is.

If it doesn't, then the Wolves have backed the wrong horses. They have a ton of cap space being used up by guys who aren't likely to develop into the types of players who can lead them to a title and they won't listen to players who could.

Don't get me wrong, I don't think Butler is the guy that you build around. But he knows what it takes to have success in the league and Wiggins and Townes have the type of talent where they could be. But if they aren't willing to listen, they won't develop into what they could be. Basically, you're looking at 2 Dwight Howards.

We clearly see "success in the league" differently.

lol Seriously?

Jimmy Butler is a 4 time all star, 2 time all NBA 3rd team, 4 time NBA All-Defensive team, won most improved player in 2015 is one of the best 2 way players in the league and a top 15 player in the league. If he keeps playing at that level, he'll be a hall of famer.

Please, tell us more about how he hasn't earned shit.

Like I said we view success differently, it's all fancy and stuff that he's a 4 time all star and all that other stuff but how many rings does he have? How many teams has he lead to the Finals. All the personal awards don't mean a fucking thing if you don't WIN!

Does he?!?!

I forgot how many rings he has....
Yeah, if you want to know how to win in this league you need to get some knowledge from 2 time champion JaVale McGee

Rings aren't solely what determines a players success. There are a lot of guys in the HoF who don't have rings and a lot of guys not in the HoF that do.

Much of what determines whether a player wins any rings is out of his control.

However, how good a player he becomes and developing his game to maximize his talent is within his control. Jimmy Butler has done the work to be an multi time all star and be one of the top 10-15 players in the league.

What work have Wiggins and Townes done to show that they don't think they need to listen to an multiple time all star?

Look, I get all that. I just never believed it work out, with the personalities. Butler was forcing square peg in a round hole. Good for some wins.... not much else.

Very few people learn from others getting up in their grill.

Last year before Butler - T-Wolves are a 31 win team
First year with Butler - T-Wolves are a playoff team - arguably, Jimmy Butler is the reason that the T-Wolves are even relevant right now. So, if Jimmy wants to be selfish, if I'm the T-Wolves, I'm saying go right ahead and be selfish, as long as we get to the playoffs and have a chance at winning a title.
Um, who here thought they actually had a chance at winning a title?? lol
