Hopefully following the Liljegren curve. Wouldn't mind seeing them on the same pairing once in a while to get a glimpse of the Leafs' future top pairing :D

Fucking dingleberry.

"I didn’t like how we were playing in Toronto and I told the coaching staff that Colton Orr is going to dress every night," Burke said. "And you know the game was going more skill and more speed, and Colton’s a big battleship guy. And they didn’t like it but I said ‘That’s on me, you pick the other 11 forwards but you’re dressing him.’"

Fuck that era sucked.

So Willie will miss a game. And likely more.

That sucks, but him starting to lose paycheques + the team looking fine without him should push this thing to a conclusion.

Saw some stuff over the weekend suggesting that cap can be manipulated by having him sign after the season starts. Sounded like some of the cap hit gets accelerated to this season with less cap hit in subs years. If so, then I can see the Leafs using this to their cap advantage. And the first few games are against bottom feeders, so prob no great loss.

It's a possibility but I also think there is so much change with the lineup this season that the club probably would've preferred having him around to learn the new system.

But maybe he's just hiding out in a hotel here and Babs & co. are going by and going over plans with him daily.

I'm really not understanding sending Pickard and McBackup down and keeping Sparks, either. He looked the worst of the three all camp.

Maybe it was an educated guess on who might clear waivers? :noidea:

Seems like an obvious trade situation, although I doubt any of them would net more than a 4th. Would like to see a few trades actually, to give some guys a chance to get to the NHL. Including forwards.

I assume they tried to trade one and nobody bit figuring they'd have to waive anyway.

Not really any forwards down there that are NHL-ready. Leivo's finally getting his chance. Once he fails (because he isn't good) Grundstrom may get a shot but that's about it.

Only other potential flop is Ennis and I think they really liked what they saw from him since he's practicing in Nylander's spot right now.

There are literally a hundred places around the ACC to park that don't cost this much. He could also park at a TTC or GO Train lot and take the train for a grand total of $10.
