I have a Better Call Saul / Breaking Bad timeline issue that has been bugging me

So, Better Call Saul is so far chronologically before his introduction in Breaking Bad, right?
but

Spoiler

in Breaking Bad, Saul/Jimmy is fighting with the law firm about Chuck's payout...
but at end of last season, Chuck already died.
i.e. Michael McKean is in Braking Bad, but based of Saul timeline, he shouldn't have been

what am I missing?

btw, having binged Breaking Bad and the first few season of Saul, this is really tough waiting a week for the next episode.

I liked First Class and then that franchise went to shit which sucks because I like a lot of the casting. Waiting for Disney to take over.
