Is it RW?

Is It PC?

Is it the front office that protects?

It’s year one of a rebuild. Realize that the Seahawks need to infuse more talent into the roster and this season won’t hurt as much. This year short on cap space and draft picks they were handicapped in trying to replace a slew of formerly good players. I think I predicted a 8-8 season, if it turns out that is optimistic, just means draft position will be that much better next year when the Seahawks have plenty of picks and lots of cap space.
The hardest aspect of watching is the offense line. Will they be able to put together a solid line? IDK seems they have a tough time identifying talent in that unit. WR is another unit that sorely needs a difference maker. I’m confident that they can put together a solid defense.
Expectations will be the main cause of agony for fans. Keep them realistic and it won’t be nearly as painful.

The Seahawks lost 2 games to start the season on the road with a slew of very young players and a new coaching staff. The Seahawks were never going to win the Super Bowl this year but I still feel confident that they will have a winning record.

Unless injuries continue to cripple the team. This was not a team that could afford injuries to key players.

Lots of young players + several key injuries + playing on the road + facing 2 of the league's best pass rushers. Most people thought things would be challenging early in the season if not the whole thing. Now that it's happened like we thought, we think it's worse than it is?

^^ this is exactly what I was thinking. Back to back road games to start the season, and facing two of the best pass rushing defenses to boot, is going to be tough for any team. If the O line looks just as porous against Dallas and Arizona over the next two weeks then I'll concede that we are doomed and Wilson may not survive the season.

Yep, and I would bet just about anything that the line is going to look a lot better when not facing Von Miller or Khalil Mack on Sunday. We'll suddenly look quite a bit better at home, and maybe with both Wagner and KJ back.

All of the above.

This just isn't a good roster. I was more down on this team coming into the year than most fans seemingly were, and even I overestimated how good they'd be.

On offense, the protection actually looks better than last year, but the right side is still leaky at times. With Baldwin out, you don't have any receivers who can create separation and get open. The run blocking is suspect and for whatever reason they're reluctant to give Carson significant carries. Wilson is still way too hesitant in the pocket and running into sacks (and in turn, fumbles). My opinion on Wilson has always been closer to "good QB" than anything more than that, but he looks downright awful in the first two games (bottom 5 in QBR).

On the defensive side, I actually like some of the talent there, but the D-Line can't get any pass rush outside of Clark (who looks really good). Calitro is intriguing - and obviously getting Wagner and Wright back will do wonders at linebacker. I think McDougald has looked really good, as has Shaquill. The weak point of this until is very clearly the D-Line, outside of Clark.

I think I said 7-9 before the season started. After 2 games, I'm probably thinking closer to 4-12/5-11. A lot of that has to do with what looks like a REALLY tough schedule though.

On a note unrelated to the talent on the field, Schottenheimer might be the most unimaginative playcaller I've ever seen. None of the things I read on him going into the season were positive, but I wanted to see what he brought before making judgements... yikes. There's a lot to be desired there.

I don't know who is going to win Sunday, but the Cowboys front 7 is every bit as good as Denver and Chicago

Nobody on Dallas is even close to as good as Von Miller or Khalil Mack though. I know they had a guy get 14 sacks last year (and we faced him in Dallas and did fine), but he's not on the same level as those other 2 guys. Not close.

Dallas was top 10 in PFF pass rush rankings and Lawrence had a very similar grade to Mack (actually higher) and Miller. He may be a notch below, but he's right there in the conversation.

Yes he is. DLaw is better this year than he was last year when he had 14.5. Randy Gregory should be back this week, Taco Charlton is playing insane. Jaylon Smith is back to his ND form. Once Irving gets back, the front 7 will be insane. All that said, RW is a great QB. I expect him to come out running alot Sunday

Hawks don't have their 2nd, 6th and 7th round picks in the 2019 draft. 1,3,4,5 ( 4 picks ) is all. Don't expect a lot of comp picks either because the Hawks picked up a lot of tit for tat players filling holes left by leaving players. Even if they are not as good as the player that left it removes the comp pick. They need to find a 2nd round pick and a 6th and 7th( Earl for a 2nd and 4th would be sweet )

4 games but i get your point. Still Had the Hawks played Denver or the Bears at home i think that one of these loses would be a victory.

NFL Fucked up the schedule giving Denver 2 at home to start the season and the Hawks 2 on the road. Easy fix Swap that Denver game Home away and remove that stupid rule that says if they play in LA they don't have to play in Seattle. Just screws over the Hawks lol.

Well shoot, I thought they had more picks then that. I'm for trading Earl before the injuries set in also, its not like the Seahawks are contenders with him this year and he's not likely going to last until the next group melds.

I think the Hawks should do what ever they can to abuse the Cowboys Safetys, make them look down right awful. Scheme it up to make it look like a HUGE need then after the game say "Hey we got a quick fix for you for a 2nd and 4th, it's called Earl Thomas"

If the Hawks ( 0-2 ) can just flat out abuse the Cowboys middle ( 1-1 ) and get a nice blow out victory i can see them over reacting because we have seen it before.

NO WAIT ...better idea. Earl + Ifedi for a 2nd and their Starting RT
