I played hockey for many years many years the skill levels at the NHL are incredible IMO if you did not grow up playing the sport at all levels it's not a sport you can just walking into.

No disrespect to Ramsey, but the NHL has some of the best athletes in the world. You don't have a clue about the NHL so you should really just keep your mouth shut on this subject.

Forget about fighting (which rarely occurs in the NHL at this time) - Ramsey would get knocked on his ass numerous times by NHL players even if he trained steadily for a few years. This is a slap in the face to NHL players. What if one of them just casually stated that they were going to play in the NFL. Would likely be just as laughable.

Ramsey is going to someday learn to just keep his mouth shut. This kind of reminds me of when Jordan said he was going to make it on the PGA tour one day. How did that go?

i got a tryout thru a teammate (a cousin for former bruin of craig janney) with charlotte of the ECHL in 1998/99

i thought i was a good hockey player or could hold my own.

i got destroyed. that was the ECHL,. and i played most of my life.

Again - who is talking about fighting? You are just proving your ignorance. Fighting has almost been eliminated from the NHL at this time. I am referring to the ability to stay on your skates while some 200 + guy in excellent shape (who has skated & played hockey since he was 3 or 4) checks you with the intent of knocking you into next week. Good luck with that.

BTW - there are quite a few excellent black players in the NHL & players come from all over the world to include many good ones from this country. Since you are clueless on this subject it is best that you just stick to other topics.

People who want to remove fighting from hockey likely never played hockey or are Prima Donna stars. Fights are an integral part of the game. They show support of your team, can change momentum of the game, rile up the fans etc. There is a place for fights in hockey
