He is trying to remove the question mark that I put beside his name on that list of pitchers who could potentially fight for a rotation spot next year.

I would love to fill out our rotation internally for 2019. Probably not realistic but....

Was that Chi Chi's first post TJ game?

First was an AZL appearance a couple of weeks ago. Looks like if keeps progressing they may need to pick up option and roster him. Good problem. I just hope he can generate swing and misses

Robinson Chirinos, C, Rangers – $2.375MM option, $1MM buyout: Going by wRC+ (107), Chirinos is in the midst of his fourth consecutive above-average offensive season. The 34-year-old has slashed .218/.337/.429 and shown off considerable power (17 homers, .211 ISO) over a career-high 377 PAs, though his strikeout rate has spiked to 34.5 percent (up from 26 percent lifetime). Still, despite Chirinos’ strikeout surge and his poor defensive numbers, his offensive production is well worth the price of next year’s option.

I would pass on his option and go with Trevino and Kiner-Falefa

That is a really cheap option, especially when you consider the buyout.

I think it's time to look at our young prospects like Trevino and Kiner-Falefa in a fulltime light. If we're going to suck anyway then give the guys a chance

You can't play both of them full time though. One of them is going to play no more than half the time if they are both up here.

Been injured too. Need to keep Robbie. Not worth paying a million to ditch him. Not sure we have it figured out what we want to do with IKF. He needs more seasoning at catcher if we want to start him. 2 recent passed balls. IKF can do a lot of things. Being primary catcher may not be it. To me we don't want Trevino to be back up just yet.

Catcher prices on the rise. Seen the recent signings. Chirinos is a bargain

Well there you go. Good call on Sampson. Can't wait to see Pelham. Glad they let Hutch go early and they can still sign him to MILB contract this winter
