Not this time around, but the next rotation, what about only players with an even amount of 1st team all pros? I just looked it up and there were about 100 guys who either had 2, 4, 6, 8 or 10 APs. The rest of our team would be guys with 0.

How about we make it 6 HOF, 6 Pro Bowlers and 12 never played in a Pro Bowl. A whole draft of scrubs would suck. Half a team should be enough

I agree because even when we have an open draft the draft lags towards the end, I don't want that lag to start in round two.

What about a cap draft, where it's reverse in where you can spend the cap. So say it's a 120M Cap for the 24 player roster. You can only spend a total 20M in your first 6 rounds. Then you can spend your remaining cap from the first 6 rounds plus an additional 60M in rounds 7-18. Then you get to spend the remaining cap from all previous rounds and unlock the last 40M for the final 6 rounds (19-24).

This might prevent the draft from lagging at the end since you get a major part of the cap unlocked to spend in the last 6 rounds.

Also adds some intrigue because you'll have to place lower tier players first without knowing which of the best talent will still be remaining at the later stages. Lots of different directions to go.

For purposes of this draft, cap space couldn't be traded and you cannot trade picks for the first 6 rounds.

I like this idea barring a few changes with cap budget per rounds...

Draft is tonight right?
I believe so. Sucks because I have to work. I have a guy who owes me a shift cover and I was planning on using it for tonight, but he had a death in his family on Monday, so he won't be able to do it. I don't mind doing a snake draft at work, since I don't have to pay too much attention until I get near my pick and I can have people watch and take one of these 2 or 3 guys if my pick comes up before I get back or something. But an auction draft is a whole different animal. I will have to be back and forth on my phone and on a computer and hope that nobody needs anything after it starts except maybe doing a check out here and there.

It's a lot harder to tell someone to bid on this guy, but not too much, but if this guy is cheaper than this, jump on it, and etc.

A little late for that at this point. I will deal with it. Like I said, hopefully, nobody needs anything after 9pm. If they do, I trust my bartender to do his best while I deal with it. Or maybe I should just get him to deal with whatever is going down.
