Dude I have said all along, I dont think Trump directly did anything.

I do think his sons or someone in his direct orbit did CONSPIRE with Russian agents to impact our elections. That in and of itself is a federal felony.

And Trump is too smug and arrogant to have not known about it.

Can you actually show me the statute that makes that a felony? Seriously, it is messed up that lying in politics is a felony when every single politician has done it...somehow, it makes it worse if they get help from outside the US.

Well this one for starters

923. 18 U.S.C. § 371—Conspiracy to Defraud the United States

Lying is not the only problem here. Conspiring with an enemy to try and impact our elections and in effect defraud the US is a problem.

I think it is completely insane to believe “conspiracy to defraud” extends to the US election, unless you are saying the conspiracy was to physically change votes or cast illegal ballots...such a short ACORN, dead people voting, or people not legally allowed voting. That is fraud.

Well this is going to be interesting then. I do believe people in Trumps orbit conspired to try and impact our elections. Unlike our President and his cult, I will trust the DOJ that i have been told all my life was there to be fair and balanced with Laws to determine if Trump or his campaign broke any laws and under what laws they are charged.

Beyond that, I also do believe that many supposed fine upstanding moral Americans have sold out said morals and supposed christian values to back a man because he promised to give them a wall, and supreme court justices that would allow them to push their supposed morals on others. And its odd that people who claim to love a nation of laws, will over look some laws, to ensure that others they want can be put in place.

Enjoy your weekend

Isn’t that what every election is, conspiring to get people to vote for you? Like I said, your conspiracy to defraud charge appears to have nothing to do with elections...at least as far as history is concerned.

I said long before the election, the most important thing about this presidency was the SCOTUS. The only morals being pushed are those in the US Constitution from the SCOTUS, at least for those Trump will have selected.

It is funny being lectured by a black man that has claimed the DOJ doesn’t make treat people equally under the law, that we should trust the DOJ. It sounds slightly hypocritical. Like I said, please show me the law that was broken.

52 U.S. Code § 30121 - Contributions and donations by foreign nationals

Was the law broken?
A provision of the Federal Election Campaign Act, Section 30121 of Title 52, broadly outlaws donations or other contributions of a “thing of value” by any foreigner in connection with an American election — or even an express or implied promise to take such action, directly or indirectly.

Depending on how a grand jury interprets the facts the special counsel, Robert S. Mueller III, has gathered about the two Trump Tower meetings, it could find that the foreigners violated that law — and that Donald Trump Jr. conspired in that offense.

Another provision of the same statute makes it illegal for an American to solicit a foreigner for such illicit campaign help — again, even indirectly. If a grand jury were to interpret the evidence about Donald Trump Jr.’s words and actions as a solicitation, he could also be vulnerable to direct charges under that law, experts said.

Notably, the statute can be violated even if the promised or requested help is never provided.

I find it more ironic that some who screams to the rafters how we are a nation of laws, is willing to let some slide on the laws when it benefits their political platform, yet want others hounded until they are brought to justice. So yea Im being a bit of a smart ass when I say trust the legal system of laws because they never show bias... or so I have been told.

I had to do some research and even this wouldn’t be nearly impossible to prove, and even if you could prove it, many will say it isn’t a crime because no money has changed hands and there is no proof of other payments.

Who is willing to let laws slide? I have said all along people should be prosecuted to the full extent of the law and prosecuted equally. I believe every politician should be investigated and have an IRS audit every year. I just question whether or not the things you claim are in violation of the law...and I do not believe they are. I am sorry but putting stuff out of FB doesn’t seem like a crime to me.

It is a federal crime for a foreign national to give anything of value to help in an election.. money, information or assistance. It is also a crime to solicit such items from a foreign national to assist with said campaign. At minimum Don Jr can be charged with such, likely Jared and Manafort as well.

The conspiracy does not have to bear fruit to be a crime. Only to be acted upon. None of this directly implicates Trump... unless he knew about it ahead of time and blessed the meeting.

Its for a grand jury to decide if these charges are applicable and a trial jury to decide if the parties involved are guilty. And a legal opinion from Cornell Law school is hardly a face book accusation. Making a request by email these days is just as damning as a phone call or text actually. Emails can be considered legal binding documents. Don Jr emailing to setup this meeting and actually taking the meeting could violate the law you asked me to provide. Weather Trump Sr knew, thats for Mueller to figure out.

What is the proof that anybody solicited something of value in the election? Does the email specify what the meeting was about?

It is the responsibility of the prosecution to prove that a grand jury is required first.

Read the Emails on Donald Trump Jr.’s Russia Meeting

YOu either have to pay for the site, or login incognito. But this is the email chain between Rob Goldston and Don JR.

Good morning

Emin just called and asked me to contact you with something very interesting.

The Crown prosecutor of Russia met with his father Aras this morning and in their meeting offered to provide the Trump campaign with some official documents and information that would incriminate Hillary and her dealings with Russia and would be very useful to your father.

This is obviously very high level and sensitive information but is part of Russia and its government's support for Mr. Trump - helped along by Aras and Emin.

What do you think is the best way to handle this information and would you be able to speak to Emin about it directly?

I can also send this info to your father via Rhona, but it is ultra sensitive so wanted to send to you first.

Best

Thanks Rob I appreciate that. I am on the road at the moment but perhaps I just speak to Emin first. Seems we have some time and if it's what you say I love it especially later in the summer. Could we do a call first thing next week when I am back?

Don

Look I know you think Im just hating on Trump because he has a tendency to push the racist limits, which he does. I honestly think he is bad for the country. I realise you love his policies, and to a degree I can understand why some would feel comfortable with what he is trying to do to the country. At the end of the day, it matter not to me if my 401k looks great, if I cant also say Im proud of where my country is going. I have researched where his two greatest campaign slogans got their roots in this country. He calls to a group of people and a mindset that would be more than happy to see America less diverse, less inclusive, and less free unless you fit into a certain group of Americans.

That just aint the America that I, my father, or my Children signed up to defend with our lives if need be.

Ok...I read the emails. Jr. had a meeting, which is not illegal, even if it is to discuss Hillary.

We have a difference of opinion regarding diversity and wanting it less diverse. I would say most people on the side of Trump don’t give a shit about diversity, either way. They would rather people be judged on content of character and citizenship to be exact. The inclusive thing is just silly. Sorry but I also haven’t seen anything about limiting freedoms of any Americans. I am a America first and last guy...I don’t care about other countries.

We apparently have a different idea of what freedom is. Freedom, to me, is not government interference in our lives. We are free to live and die, make choices, and bear the fruit, even if spoiled, of our choices. You claim Trump is limiting freedom or applying law unequally. I see Trump as giving us our freedom back (less government regulation) and becoming the first POTUS to actually look at the inequity of our application of law.

I hate to break this bit of information to you but the MSM that people complain about is dominated by conservative ownership. (I'm going to leave it at that because I'm openly daring someone to challenge this)

I would just be curious if any one watched the entire exchange between Cuomo and Conjob? Or just the edited gotcha moment?

You equate the slogan to the KKK, I get it.

I take the words at face value. The job of our government is to put America and Americans first.

As for Cuomo and his words, I heard what he said in its entirety. I understand what he said, what he meant, and still understand he should have never said it. I had no respect for him before the statement and even less after.

Sorry dude, you just dont get to rebrand racism and make it more user friendly. I consider the slogans as well as the Rebel flag nothing more than a call to white nationalists. I fully believe he was aware of where these slogans got their origin, and is more than willing to deal in concepts of white fear and white nationalist concepts to further his agenda. That might or might not make him a racist, it damn sure makes him a race baiter. As I have said, I voted for him because I hoped he would grow into the President for all Americans..... IM simply not seeing that. And I think alot of his supporters are choosing to ignore it.

And what you are missing with this point is, If Hillary's voter registration card was red instead of blue, I feel safe in saying you would not give one single solitary rats ass about what she was accused of, just as you dont care what Trump has been accused of or done. Tribal politics at its finest at the moment. I can honestly say for the first time in 30 years, Im actually ashamed of how I cast my vote, and ashamed of the country that we actually had two of the worst possible people running for President. I think its a cop out by many to say, well I dont like Trump the person but Im a fan of some of his policies thus I support him.

Trump the greatest POTUS since reagan

I can clearly understand your issue with this! First ive seen or heard of it however, there's no way that's what he uses them for, it would've been political suicide
