Not a great list. Jake Browning should be higher. Trace McSorley number 1, I don't think so. Ryan Finley also seems a bit high. Tua T had one great game, but so did Cordele Jones, a few years back. I would have Will Grier and Jarrett Stidham as one and two.
McSorley should be nowhere near listed at #1

And Hornibrook honorable mention. lol. That guy sucks.

Yeah, sure. Tell me about it. 20-3 as a starting QB. #22 on ESPN's QBR last year. #24 in Pass Efficiency lasy year. Yeah I know all about the interceptions. Definite hole in his game. Not a stretch to see him as a #11 -#15 QB

Thought Shea Patterson's name would be there.

Why would you want Grier? A certain OSU poster said that Haskins will be the best QB in the conference and will be a Heisman candidate THIS YEAR.

If a Buckeye fan said that about Haskins he's got his Homer Glasses super glued to his head.

I have seen enough of Haskins to know I've seen too much ... I hope I am wrong

McSorely did a number on a better than average Washington secondary. He made a believer out of me after the Fiesta Bowl.

He also did a number in the Rose Bowl on the guy’s team who has him at #9 and lit up Wisconsin in the conference championship game. The kid’s a gamer and a winner and he’s done it behind a mediocre offensive line. He’s my #1. When lights are shining on the big stage and everything’s on the line give me McSorley over any other 2018 quarterback.

"McSorley will get his chance to shine as a solo artist without Saquon Barkley owning the spotlight in Penn State’s quarterback-friendly scheme."

See, I read that like "McSorley won't be handing off to superman anymore". It's more on him, now. We'll see.

@7Samurai13 Oddly enough, that quote was made in jest. That said, I don't see how it's being a homer to say he's at least going to be a Heisman contender.

Yes it is totally not homery to declare a player as one of the top players in the country based on one half of a game and mop up duty.

We've seen guys come out of the blue and not just contend for, but win the Heisman in their first year as the starter. Seems to happen pretty often, actually.

When Urban recruited Haskins, he called him the best passer he's ever recruited.

He's entering his 3rd year with the program, and he has a ton of weapons at his disposal.

You've seen what he can do, and that was thrust into the second half of arguably the biggest rivalry game in the nation down by 2 scores and he rallied them to win on the road, and against a really, really good defense at that.

What's the reason not to have confidence in him becoming a really, really good player? What reason is there to believe he won't?

Yes he can. And Lewerke could pass 4000 yards and runs for 1500. Why shouldn’t I believe he can do that? That’s not homery at all, right?
