Here are my noteables still out there:

1) Dante Cunningham. Think he could be a really nice piece to a lot of different teams, depending on what sort of role he's looking to play. Nice 3/4 hybrid player that can be a high energy competitor.

Best fit: Minnesota. Think Minnesota could use another rugged player who's going to go out and compete every minute on the floor. Guy is pure hustle.

2) Wayne Ellington. Really good 3/D player who could possibly be a spot starter, but would ideally be a great reserve.

Best fit: Dallas Mavericks. Wes Matthews is on the last year of his contract and Elliington could be a nice replacement for him. He'd be ideal as a SG next to two play makers in DSJ and Luka.

3) Greg Monroe. He's a pretty poor defender, but there's no denying his ability to put the ball in the hole. He'd be a huge benefit to a team who's lacking some interior punch and could be instant offense type player off the bench, if not starter.

Best fit: Lakers. They are really depleted in the front court. He'd be an ideal roll guy in a P&R with Lonzo and Lebron, being able to finish in the paint with actual skill and not just lob ability.

4) Isaiah Thomas. Everyone seems to forget he was still coming off injury last year, which directly affected his performance. That and having to play along Lebron was a big detriment to his numbers. I think he's still a really quality player and think he'd be worth a flier on a 2 year contract for some younger teams for him to bring his competitiveness.

Best fit: Hawks (2 year deal). I think he'd be an ideal guy for Trae Young to learn from. Young still needs to learn shot selection and IT runs a beautiful P&R which they're hoping Trae can be. IT being an undersized guard can help Young who's also on the smaller side learn some of the tricks of the trade to creating space for his shot.

We just won't care if a washed up Dwyane Wade returns to the Heat then, either.

Other than Heat fans or banana-boaters? Not really. He's a rotational player on the decline at this point in his career.

Monroe is exactly what the Lakers are NOT looking for. They'd be better off starting Zubac. If they add a center, it will be a defensive-minded player (and they already have 3: Zubac, McGee, and Wagner).

dude...Zubac, McGee and Wagner is a disaster waiting to happen.

Wagner is a finesse big that I saw going almost exclusively in the 2nd round in mock drafts. McGee is a bit player that has not played 20 minutes a game since the '11-'12 season. Zubac is 21 and couldnt find minutes on a bad Lakers team last year.

Kuzma is a legit PF--- but the Lakers do not have another big man besides him that deserves 20 minutes a game.

They badly need a vet or two for their front court for rebounding/defense.

Lebron will be playing "PF" a lot, if you want to call it that. He and Ingram typically are SFs, but will both be on the court for starters minutes.

Lakers need defense at C, not another offensive minded player. That role likely would've been Randle's as a small ball center.

RAndle's rebounding would have been big.

I agree that Monroe is not ideal- but at least he could grab rebounds.

I was hoping they paid attention during summer league when they played the Heat. Landry Nnoko would be a nice defensive addition on the cheap, defensive player of the year in the G league last year.

Unfortunately with the rest of the market the way it is right now there are not a lot of best fits for what the Lakers need. Monroe is a complimentary player and basically the anti Javale. Javale would be able to be a rim runner and rim protector. Monroe would be a skill big to score in the post and rebound.

Either way you guys need to have another big in there. You can't rely on Lebron playing many, if any minutes during the regular season to save him some wear and tear. You don't want him banging with the bigs if you can avoid it.

Monroe is an ideal fit for you in the regular season, but definitely a fringe guy in the playoffs. But he serves a very important role during that regular season.

Kevon Looney would have been a great fit. Still baffling to me he got no offers other than taking a minimum contract with the Warriors. Any team that topped 2.2M and the Warriors wouldn't be able to compete. Just sayin...

We definitely signed the wrong Warriors center.

Him, Vinatieri and Bartolo Colon have to be the only guys left that played when I was in HS.

I wouldn't expect to see Monroe in LA. They haven't been rumored together whatsoever. Lakers don't want a slow, plodding center.

A case where the home team values the player more than the rest of the league most likely. I'll take my chances giving those minutes to Wagner instead.

Think Carter will retire, really don't think he'd go back to Toronto unless he went back on a 1 day contract to retire a Raptor.

I think he will too.
