The season already fails to meet your pre-qualifications. Cousins won’t play until probably January, and even then only at about 60% or so.

Cousins is coming off a MAJOR injury. This is not as ridiculous a signing as it appears on the surface. He needed a team that could let him sit for approx half the season. The Dubs are just about the only team that do that for him.

Maybe sooner.

But, the Dubs should hold him out.

You're right. I thought everything was over when McGee left but hopefully a 25/12 guy will be able to fill those big shoes.

They got him for 5 million a year. NBA teams sneeze that kind of dough. People are calling it ridiculous because yes, it's ridiculous. I'm not complaining but to say that he couldn't have gotten a better deal somewhere else is ridiculous. Any team with playoff hopes for next year could figure out how to fit 5 mill under their cap.

Losing Ariza to Phoenix was HUGE. He was a piece of their core group...that had to sting. And to make matters worse they still haven't gotten an agreement done with Capela...AND they gave Chris Paul all that freakin money for FOUR YEARS.

I'm not a CP3 fan but the guy has game. This is like CP3 signing for 5 mill with the Rockets for a one year deal. Seriously. 5 mill a year if you get 20 minutes a game with 8 points, 5 rebounds then you think you did good on that signing.

Yea, that's a no for me on Vince - solely based on that punk move on McCall. It's hard for me to believe he didn't know what he was doing, having been in the league over a decade AND how his game was mainly based off his athleticism in his younger years.

Yes he's great - when he plays. But, he's injury prone & IMO you can't risk a max contract on a player that has been injured EVERY post season for the past 5 years. Literally, that's not an exaggeration.

He probably could have gotten more elsewhere.
