Oh c'mon. Brown was a pro-bowler at his position. Britt has been a probowler.

Pocic showed pretty decent potential. I'm not saying they're going to be the second coming of Walter and Hutch Fuckinson, but they COULD be decent.

Decent is a big improvement. Decent could let Wilson do some amazing things.

First off Pro Bowl doesn't really mean much these days since so many drop out. I'm not saying they are the worst players by any means but I still see just an ok at best group.

Yeah, I think they're going to take a big step back next year. Can't see them winning 8 games this yr.

Well there were games last season where a wet sack of cement and a traffic pylon would have been more of an impediment to various pass rushers.

I'll sign up for 'ok' every fucking time out for the time being, and continue to believe that they're going to surround Wilson with the tools he needs to be annoyingly productive in the last decade - decade and a half of his career.

Well I think most folks here have their own reasons for predicting the Seahawks to fall but we will see.

The Seahawks still have Russell Wilson. They still have Earl Thomas. They still have Bobby Wagner.

Their offensive line improved in the 2nd half of last season. Losing their starting LT in preseason was a killer injury and Rees Odhiambo was simply terrible.

If they didn't have an atrocious kicker last year they were still an 11 win team.

The Seahawks could really struggle this. No question. They could also be just as good as year's past. There are just too many variables.

1. New Offensive Coordinator - Bevell was highly controversial OC in Seattle for years, which is common for OCs. But he probably should have been shown the door last offseason. Who knows what Schottenheimer will do. Could be worse. Could be better.

2. New offensive line coach - This is one of the biggest positional coaching changes in Seahawks history, given the impact of the previous coach. As well respected as Cable was in the league, he ALWAYS fielded a sub-par group that ranged from mediocre to embarrassing. Solari is, at worst, addition by subtraction with a great chance of dramatically improving the line.

3. New Defensive Coordinator - This was a bit surprising to me but the truth is that the defense often seemed a little lost under Richard. Ken Norton isn't going to bring in some master game plan. But he's gonna keep this now much younger defense motivated.

4. The loss of Sherman and Bennett - Sherman was one of my favorite Hawks. But there is no question that he could be a distraction as was Bennett. Sherman was, prior to the injury, still a top flight corner but Bennett was fading significantly. Constantly called offside and often went missing. Losing them will hurt but could have positive effects.

5. The loss of Jimmy Graham - Jimmy Graham had some big TD catches. He also had some HORRENDOUS drops. His 59% catch rate was pretty terrible. And he was a matador of a blocker. Dickson isn't going to get 10 TDs. But he's a great blocker. Graham's departure may or may not be a significant boon or bust for the Seahawks.

These are all big question marks that could be answered one way or the other.

The Seahawks could win 7. They could 12. I doubt it will go outside of that band though.

The NFL is a young mans game and those Seahawks are getting old. Wilson might win them a bunch of games alone, but they are done contending. They may not even make the playoffs.

As for Solari vs Cable, Seattle fans are split on Cable.

I'm okay with the team having swapped out TC, because Solari has a good rep too. But talent is talent. Assuming Fant comes back healthy, Seattle's line could be MUCH improved. If they are, it'll be because of the talent Cable brought in (I'd buy an argument that Brown and Fluker aren't 100% Cable's decision)

I'm not sure Fant will even make the team to be honest. He's not an automatic body to challenge Ifedi at the RT spot in my opinion. He's played 1 season of NFL football at LT and lets be honest, he was horrible. Browns going to start and now we just drafted Jones who's a legit LT. Fant will have to learn a different position and he's an UFA next year which will cost us around 3M to keep him. I could be wrong of course, but I dont think having a healthy Fant on the team will make much difference on the line because he'll be a backup anyways.

Ifedi slides inside and plays RG.

We'll see. I think the line is going to surprise some people.

'done?'

Do you think about the things you post? Wilson could play another 10-15 years. They could reset two to three more times ffs.

Well, naturally they aren’t done forever, but they definitely need to rebuild. That gets hard when you pick in the teens constantly. Making the playoffs looks even tougher now that all 3 other teams in the division have young Promising QBs and plenty of talent to boot.

This is making a lot of assumptions about the future of this team in the upcoming season. I can't imagine there being too many people picking the Seahawks to win their division or make the playoffs in this upcoming season.

There's nothing wrong with wanting the best out of your team and that's how I feel about the 53 players we'll have on the sidelines on Sundays this coming season.

If we could have the 2nd coming of Hutchinson and Jones on the left side of our line in Brown and Pocic that would be awesome.

There have been a lot of posters that have predicted season after season that the Seahawks were not going anywhere. Last year, they were finally correct. Good job, guys.

Who do some people think we are? We're not some scrub team who can be walked all over all season like the Cleveland Browns. We have a great coaching staff and some really great players. I'm predicting we win at least 10 games this year.

Pains me to say it, but the Seahawks, Niners and Cards will all be reaching for 8 wins. Rams walk away with the division this year and the wild card is not coming out of the NFC west.

Some of you Seahawk fans are delusional as fuk.

Think 7-9 to 9-7 is about right for the above teams. I wouldn’t even mind is the Seahawks did worse then that. This season it was about getting rid of the old and expensive players. Next year however the reloading begins in earnest. Plenty of cap space ( been a while for that) and the full slew of picks plus hopefully some comp picks.
I’m not to going to sweat about wins and loses this season.

I agree. The cards have something line 97 mil in cap space next year. Let Rosen sit for a year and learn then retool next year.

The Lions defense sucked ass last year and has less talent now.

And they play Dallas and the Chargers at home.

Have you decided SF is really good or. something?

Dallas is better than Seattle. And the home vs road makes no difference. Dallas is 6-2 on the road the last two years.
