Cleveland pitcher - Trevor Bauer - has made insinuations that Justin Verlander and the Houston pitching staff could be doing something illegal to the baseball to increase their spin rate on their pitches. Looking at the ERAs of Verlander, Cole, and Morton does seem to ask the question of - what is going on in Houston?
I find it hard to believe that Verlander who is financially set for life, would resort to doctoring baseballs. But he is a competitive player who wants to add to his resume....so? And as far as using some chemical substance to improve his performance....maybe we should ask Kate Upton what "substances" JV uses to increase his performance in the bedroom. ''Viagara'' and ''Swedish Hard-on Extender'' --- to some tacky substance on a baseball? Maybe Kate knows what he/she puts on his balls?

the whole Astros pitching staff have probably been doing the same "doctoring" that Bauer is talking about.

D'Backs need to take advantage of the Dodgers' problems while they can. With LA's cash reserves....they could buy themselves an All-Star team as the season goes on.

That poster also, at one time, claimed Voltaire26 and I were the same person. I believe he claimed smitty and iffy were the same person. Several others, including handicappers. I believe it is a prime symptom of paranoia manifesting itself into one giant enemy, so his simple mind can deal with it.

Wouldn't it be hoot if this poster was all of the above?

The Tigers are going to have a heck of a time winning series when they score only 7 runs in three games. You take Cabrera out of that lineup and there really isn't much to fear. In fact, the Tigers have scored more than 3 runs only once in their last 8 games. Iglesias, Machado, McCann and Hicks are not real threats to quality pitching.
