So, let me get this straight.

It is fact that Minnesota will beat Portland? I am not going to say Minny has no chance. If Butler is healthy it is near a toss up. But, the reason it is a toss up is because Lillard is the best player on the court. Minny's roster minus Butler is MUCH better than Portland's minus Dame. And it isn't close.

Just like you were ready to bet me that Butler would finish ahead of Anthony Davis in the MVP ballot. How did that work out for you?

Whiteide been salty about the Heat drafting Bam/signing Kelly for months now because he know that meant fewer minutes for him because those 2 can do a lot more on the court than he can do .

Why a guy that can’t stay as healthy as he seems to think he has to be in order to play would worry about minutes is a mystery.

I agree to a point. If your strength is size, you need to use it.

But over time, the pace and space offenses win out. It is being proven at every level. Villanova dominating college basketba with a very similar concept to what the Rockets and Warriors use.

No doubt that you eventually have to go small when the opponent does. I just think teams are too quick to jump to that.

The one thing about the pace and space offenses is that if the perimeter game isn't working, then the offense doesn't work. But when the shots start to fall, they can make ground/extend a lead very quickly. We see the Warriors do this just about every game. lol

So, imo, the trick is to press the size advantage for as long as possible, but be ready to switch to small ball if/when the shots start falling and you find yourselves trading 2's for 3's. Or your bigs start to get tired from the pace. .
