Right now I am leaning toward us winning about 77 or 78 games.

I really hope Rua gets the chance to play every day in LF, but I don't see Banister doing that.

With pitching being what we think it is, this is the perfect time to play Rua, Profar and anyone he wants to.

What other miscellaneous thoughts do you have about what you are expecting this season? I think Beltre and Hamels will be leading in some of those categories above at the break and then they will be traded. Choo probably gets traded as well and any of the short term pitching acquisitions if they are pitching decently. I think Profar replaces Odor in July after Odor puts up a line of .227/.282/.415.

I feel like I gave them credit for couple extra wins, as I really see this as a 90+ loss team with this pitching staff

Thinking we are ok SP minus perhaps Moore. Real issue is depth in case of injury to many positions. OF is a work in progress and still worried about running on DDJ

Expect Odor to bounce back but probably not as much as we hope.

Hoping pen will be better but closer is huge. Pure guess re Lincecum. Still pitchin depth is suspect, catcher too


If all goes well without injury and other teams take hits, we could slide into playoffs. A lot of things to go right. Conversely if young guys don't progress and we catech the injury bug, 500 ball won't happen. Other teams including A's are better. So yes we are rebuilding while trying to compete

Put me down as thinking Ohtani will have a good season. Probably not a Cy Young candidate or anywhere close to that, but good nonetheless. I think he will have a very good career over here. Probably an ERA close to 4.00 this year and then close to 3.50 in 2019.

Well Timmy out during April makes my closer shot in the dark prediction a shot in the foot. Did anybody read ALWD predictions by Bowden. Puts Rangers in last place. What has some merit is his SP assessment. We really need things to go right for us to compete but not much is proven.

I don’t expect us to do well at all and we may well finish in last place but Bowden is a clown.

Don't think this is a Biwden endorsement. This is the only prediction I saw that had them last although many ar next to last. Oakland pitching has taken some recent big hits

Which player will be the most pleasant surprise this season? I think Odor will find his swing again and put up some good numbers. On the pitching side, I think Diekman will get it going.

I don't expect Beltre to finish the season with the Rangers

72-90. Last place in the AL West. Will battle Tigers for worst team in the AL.

Obvious sellers at the deadline.

Beltre and Hamels will be moved.

Hope Calhoun gets 250 plate appearances. But not holding my breath.

I think Elvis and Mazarra will shine. Gallo and Odor will struggle.

Our SP is laughable. Our bullpen will be better than last year.

Overall, as I mentioned before, we are in for a couple of really rough years in Arlington. We are going to stink. But I expect we start turning the corner in 2020 and contend for the playoffs again in 2021.
