A lot of times I tuned in, it was live stuff...which is cool. I think that's the only way to make that channel really worthwhile. The Eagles have a great catalogue, just not a large one.

They play a lot of live stuff on the Grateful Dead station too. I consider myself a pretty big Grateful Dead fan, but I'm in the minority that thinks their studio albums are better than their live shows. Don't get me wrong, I was at my share of shows and they were fun as hell, but to sit and listen to a recording, the musicianship was often pretty sloppy. There are exceptions, though.

I hate Christmas music in all forms unless it appears on a South Park episode.

Only good Christmas song ever made(not featured on South Park of course)

Fuck you, heathen.

I heard that song for the first time a few months ago. Pretty funny.

A lot of the artist stations play a lot of their influences as well. They play Poco on their too.

Springsteen is a good choice but I'd select Elvis Presley

That is pretty strange...and true at the same time. I'm not a fan of GD, but they certainly made their hay with the live show.

I get why a lot of people think that, but he could sing his ass off in a few genres and Elvis completely changed the game.

They should have never tried to play Mama Tried.

That'll be the replacement on my programmed channel when The Eagles station goes away.

I always liked Petty. He's not programmed on my stereo but he was a straightforward musician which I can appreciate. Sad when he passed for the obvious, but I believe he died the same day as the Vegas mass shooting, so his death/memory was barely a blip in the media.

There's not many rock acts I'd rank above Tom Petty.

Pretty much responsible for rockabilly, which obviously opened the door for all after him. Don't know how that is overrated...
