The HOF is filled with QBs that had losing records their first couple of years. If I am not mistaken, Pittsburg's own Bradshaw was one such loser. How soon they forget. That is why this is a stupid argument.

What one really needs to look at is has Cousins improved and is he continuing to improve? I don't see how anyone with any football knowledge can say that he has not improved, even this year. We have seen a different KC this year. One willing to make plays when everything breaks down. He has done that on numerous occasions this year. He has become a playmaker. For some, that was they most recent knock on him, but no more (at least it shouldn't be). Does he still have room to improve? Absolutely. Is there any logical reason to believe he won't continue to improve? I can't see one.

The argument shouldn't be if he's improving or not. The argument should be, while he's improving, why is out team at .500?

Comparing Kirk Cousins to Troy Aikman? Are we serious here? Like I've said, he needs the pieces around him but as of right now, throughout his career. He's a .500 QB and paying him that much money, you gotta be okay with that.

NO what you have to be OK with is what not paying him likely means.

1. It means you aint getting one of these top QB's unless you are willing to trade up.
2. It means that you are in a situation where you have no choice but to draft a QB
3. As teams know about 1 and 2, the cost to move up just got steeper.

The coaching staff? Changed. The team around him? Changed. He and the front office are the only constants. Plus, he's the QB, he's also gotta be a leader and improve along with the team around him. he you can't improve the team around you, you aren't a leader, you're just playing the position.

No. Let me lay it all out for you so y'all can fully comprehend what I'm saying. Kirk Cousins is 22-24-1 career. He's barely a .500 QB right now. In my opinion, he isn't worth the money that you should pay a guy who is making the playoffs every year. But, and here's where you guys are choosing to ignore what I say, If you pay him that money, you have to figure out a way to build a decent team around him because if you don't, nothing will change and you will be responsible for another crappy contract. The QB position shouldn't be the first improvement. Improve the running game, o-line, front office, coaching staff, defense get some WRs that can catch the damn ball. If that ALL doesn't work, then what else are you left with?

What is Cousins worth? That's a tough question. You got a guy like Cam Newton who took his team to the SB and won an MVP and he's the Roller Coaster QB. Good 1 week, bad the next, great the next, horrible the next. He's making $23.6M right now. You got Derek Carr who's had 1 good year and he's making $25M. It's a tough market. I don't think he's worth $23M but he's a more consistent QB than Cam. I don't think he's worth $25M or $23M. His market value has him at a little over $24M a year. I think that's too high but who am I ya know?
