Reminds me of us signing Larry Johnson. Accept for the "going to Canton" part.

Ugh. That was basically in the same timeframe that they also signed Sean Alexander (ex-SEA) & Willie Parker (ex-PIT). All three were washed up backs who wound up doing nothing for the Redskins. People too often think a of a player in terms of reputation & forget the effects of age & injuries.

Kelley is not the problem. He just cant stay healthy. CT will give us a few runs but he cant close games out. The problem here is Perine. The guy hasn't stepped up at all. For our un game to be successful Kelley has to stay healthy b/c Perine has shown me nothing personally. The only reason why he is playing is b/c of his draft status. Mack Brown is actually the better runner with his quickness. I not saying give up on Perine but he has to step it up immediately.

With that said I am for trading for AP. The Saints don't even use him at the goaline. Why bother signing him if he is not your goaline back? I have no clue what Payton is doing. Both teams are on byes this week. Hopefully there are talks. I would give as much as a 4th rounder for him b/c he can change this team dramatically.

No to Adrian Peterson as it looks like his various injuries and age have caught up with him.

If Kelley can't stay healthy, that's a big problem.

Perine looked good, real good, against the Rams imo and what draft status? That of a 4th rd pick? Even though it was credited to KC (I don't understand why either) that fumble against the Chiefs was Matt Jones fuck up worthy when Jones lost the damn ball against the Lions inside the 5 yd ln, By simply extending his damn hand/arm he was carrying the ball in. Just like that fumble, SP's fumble against KC appeared to be a general lack of concentration and/or concern and borderline inexcusable. Not only did it turn a 2nd n 5 into a 3rd n 12. SP looked to have a pretty decent set-up far as blocking and room to run. What tipped it to the borderline inexcusable realm was that Mo swung hard to KC's favor and never really came back to us. It also put a Kirk's gotta be damn near perfect vibe out there.

Fuck fuck fuck.

This thread reminds me of another reason why Jay grinds my gears. He seems to have a type when it comes to bell cow RBs. Big, not terribly fast, not terribly elusive, have their biggest brain farts at arguably the worst time to do so.

I'm 55 years old..........I think. Yeah, I am. I became a Skins fan at age 10 during the 1972 season. It was love at first sight. I still have yet to see an emblem, decal, symbol, representing a sports team of any kind that's as majestic and just outright fuckin cool as shit than the Warrior Chief. I look at that battle weary, yet proud and unbowed emblem of the Warrior Chief at times and I'm still completely baffled as to how someone sees racism or something derogatory there. But I'm still in love and will readily admit my opinion is biased.

While the Skins would eventually lose the Super Bowl that year to the Phins. It was a magical season and I've been along for the ride ever since.

:suds:Hail brotha!

I was 6 years old and the youngest of three, my memory of the 91 super bowl is a little hazy but my older brothers were really into it and since I wanted to be like them (at age 6) I fell in love with the skins at that moment. From then on, I have been waiting, wishing and wanting the skins to return to the promise land so I can relive the glory days once more. How awesome would it be to have remained a fan through all of the BS years and see them get back to being dominant once more. HTTR!

In terms of my football fan-dom. What you just described is exactly what I'm wishing for. I'm not sure I could adequately convey with words just how awesome that would be, but it would be awesomely tremendous indeed.

Well scratch AP from the list - he was just traded to the Cards. Good.

conditional pick. I cant believe we blew a chance to get him.

I think that the ONLY way to use a conditional pick on Peterson at this point in his career is to use the 7th rounder as that conditional pick. If he performs well they get to keep our 7th rounder, if he doesn't have it anymore we keep our pick. In as much as blowing it, I don't think that Bruce was interested......he should have hired a genuine GM to inform him as to what to do in this instance, then fired him shortly after the deal was done.:D

Lets all thank our lucky stars we didnt give away any pics for this AP. 11 carries for 21yrds. Remember, just because you have one good game doesnt mean that you’re back.

Once is luck... twice is skill.

He is going to have bad games. lets face it he is on a bad team. Are you against trading for Hyde also? Even if it costs a 6th?
