Yes KC stepped up big time in the 2nd half. I was impressed with KC scrambles. Extended drives and he played smart. Doctson has to make that catch. Kc made a great throw. JOn Gruden mentioned that KC had Reed open on the sideline but you cant make any better throw then he did to Docston. Also, that drop left too much time on the clock for KC to get in FG range.

Norman is going to be out 2 weeks. So he will miss the SF game. We should be able to beat SF without him. Perine is just bad. I agree with you about going after Peterson. He would provide a nice jolt to this offense. The defense was on the field way too much last night. They couldnt get of the field and made stupid penalties. Even so we should of taken the lead in the game.

I liked how our team stepped up but we couldn't finish. On the last play I was expecting a short pass to pickup the first down to kill time. I wasn't expecting both Doctosn and Reed going to the endzone. Its a gamble and it almost worked. Well should of worked. The down side is you leave way too much time on the clock. I did not understand the run on 2nd down to CT into the middle of the line. Why wasn't CT or Crowder used in the passing game last night? That baffles me.

This loss hurts. I know its KC but we should of had this one.

Had we got the TD, KC would have needed a TD, not a FG.

It hurts because we should have won. It is acceptable because it was an expected loss the whole time.

What do you think about the clock management at that time?

1st paragraph: Agreed, team has made strides, added talent and are much improved on defense. The offense has taken a step back due to experience at WR and the lack of a true threat at RB.

2nd paragraph: Pryor is an anomaly and appears his confidence is not where it should be. Why he didn't high point the TD throw is beyond me but he caught it none the less. Last night we saw progress from Pryor but I have to admit, as much as he was hyped this summer, I am very disappointed in our return even with his limited experience.

3rd paragraph: I mentioned picking up Peterson in a trade with the Saints a few weeks back and really no response from anyone and probably a few laughs. The team has proven they are serious contenders in the NFC. If this team improves on what they already have going, they have a chance to not only make the playoffs, but do some damage. I'm on board with trading for Peterson who would provide a REAL instant threat and will also help open this offense up. If the staff really feels they have an opportunity this season, then go get Peterson.

4th paragraph: While Cousins performed well last night, (Doctson drop didn't help) it simply wasn't enough. On 2 particular 3rd & short opportunities we did not convert and had to punt. Either the play calling or execution was poor and while I do not put that squarely on Cousins, he is our leader, QB and as we all know, TD's when games in this league, not FG's. The whole offense needs to improve and I believe it will moving forward. Cousins & Co are too good not to and we need help at RB. The OL played well last night in pass protection and were physical up front.

5th paragraph: Again, you are correct. The Skins are a serious threat to anyone they play. The injuries are a concern and fortunately we have a bye week coming up. The Norman injury worries me most but it appears most are not that serious, we shall see. Nice to see the optimism and deservedly so since this team is competing at a much higher level than last year. It is evident as you can see it on the field.

HTTR!

That's fine if you want to hold Cousins responsible for the loss as long as you hold every QB in the league for every loss, including Brady and Rogers. Because based on your reasoning, it is always the QB's fault. Cousins showed growth and maturity last night, particularly on that last drive, where on 3 separate occasions he made plays out of nothing. Without his "off schedule" playmaking, we would not have even scored on that last drive. I hope you can atleast recognize that he did things last night that many of you have said he couldn't (not you specifically as I don't remember your specific beef with him).

Injuries and Penalties. Reason 1 and 2 why the Chiefs won last night. Reason 3 would be the lack of running game. I can't remember which one of y'all said it but someone here said during the preseason that the running game would be an issue and damn, I wish I knew who said that so I could give them credit for it........:D:D:D:D

It was the same person who said that the Giants would be contending for the division and perhaps for a SB spot. Don't break your arm patting yourself on the back too much.

Yeah, but that was before he knew they sucked. He can't be held to that. Only judge him by the ones he gets right, not the ones he misses on.

Exactly! LOL. Listen, we all get some wrong and some right. Just happens to be that I was right about the Redskins running game and wrong about the Giants. I'm batting .667 right now in predictions so I'm winning lol

actually, you were also wrong about the redskins OL. The lack of running last night was due to play calling and RB personnel. The OL played great again.....how many sacks did they give up to the Chiefs? Oh, that's right.....NONE.

Also, we really didn't run poorly. Avg over 4.3 yds/carry and had over 100 yds rushing. That's not bad, as you suggest.

Jay Gruden made a point of saying Reed was open on the pass that Dox dropped so Jon was not full of shit and the replay backed both of them up.

I had no problem with where he threw it. They have also been on Cousin's to throw some balls like Dox caught the game before and let these guys go get it. I think Dox is going to make his share of those catches. We need to give it time. The one that bothered me the most was the one to TP across the middle. It looked a little wide but it looked like alligator armed it. He is a big boy, he NEEDs to make those catches.

Yeap that was a drive killer drop. Just like Perine fumble on the toss to the left, Pryor and Perine had some open real estate to run. Both certainly would have had 1st down and some more.

The o-line is a scratch right now. 2 good games, 2 not so good games. Running game has been great in 1 games, okay in 2 games and horrible in another. 21st in rushing TDs but 8th in rushing yards. When your leading rusher doesn't even have 50 yards and is your non-mobile QB, you have a problem.

This may be true taking into account Kelly departure. After his departure I think Gruden did the right thing in passing the ball. He had to, the Chiefs are 25th in Pass Def. So you have to attack them in the air. Our pass catchers left a lot of real estate on the ground last night. The Chiefs are very shakey in their pass Def and like you said our OL was showed signs early on of be fully cable of handling their pass rush. No sacks.

Doesn't mean that its the line is the problem. and last I checked, 8th in rushing isn't shabby as you try to portray it.

The Redskins haven't had a 100 yard rusher yet. That's not a good thing. Allowing 4 sacks against an Eagles defense that's 21st in PPG and 30th in passing yards allowed.? Eck.

Fair enough. We could have used Thompson a bit more. After Perine fumbled, he was out. Cant trust him right now.

I didn't say 8th in rushing was a bad thing.

The O line dominated the Rams game & it was shown by their running game. Ditto for the Raiders game. Last nt they were fine - the problem was injuries on the D & the fact that the offense was hardly on the field after the 1st QTR. Their poor running game is mainly a product of having no real quality at the RB position (& the best they have at RB is injured). Perine is a mixed bag, but he is likely to rarely see the field if he keeps fumbling.

Why? Why can't you have RB by committee? Why is that bad? You pick one game where they were bad and make your case? Weak at best.

I agree going forward we better improve the RG but last night the Chiefs pass Def was just toooooooo enticing. To a certain degree we didn't need RG last night. It would have help sure but with Kelly out, Perine fumbling and CT is not an every down back we had to attack the chiefs weak pass def.

Fair enough - I can deal with this if you present this all as comedic material - just realize now that your pts should never be taken seriously.
