Wasn't talking about Perine was talking about kelley.

That said, Perine was bad yesterday. Whether he was a rookie you want to give time to develop or not he didn't play well. You're right that it's way too early to judge him, but you seem to want me to lie about his performance just to make us all feel better? F that.

When people play poorly say it. When they play well say it. There's no need to lie to prove a point or make us all feel better about the team. I think we all know 1 game doesn't make the dudes career.

LOL - my bad. However - I still have the same take on Perine. He played pretty well late in the game. IMO he showed signs in the latter stages of the game that he can contribute to the team (no lying on my part). We will see.

BTW - I don't provide takes to make anyone feel better about the Redskins. I am trying to be as objective as possible. I know it may not come off that way, but a large part of that is due to the extreme negativity on this site from some posters. The Redskins certainly have their flaws, but they also have talent at several positions. No way that this is the worst team in the NFL as some so-called fans on this forum maintain. I guess some feel that it is an obligation to rag on the Redskins on a non-stop basis.

All good. And I agree. I'm not here to rip on perine. I liked him as a prospect and still hope for good things from him.

Sounds good & BTW you are not one of the fans I referenced in the post above. HTTR - would be nice to perhaps see this team at least play well in a prime time game - we will see.

And that's totally fair. Probably a bit much of me too say you were doing it to make people feel better about us. But I do think sometimes very valid criticisms on here are met with "gasp must be a hater how could you say that".

I certainly don't consider myself a negative poster (though others might). I'm probably more optimistic about the team than a lot of posters. I just won't hesitate to criticize either.

For example I was critical of Kirk in week 1 but also quick to point out that that one game doesn't matter and everybody should chill. I think we should be critical of bad things without freaking out over bad things if that makes sense.

Agree & as I stated wasn't referring to you. More referencing someone like a so called fan who hopes for the team to lose every game in some supposed attempt to grab their future star QB.

You are not a negative poster and no worries ... we will work on that football knowledge with you. :D

There are very few on this site who rag on our beloved Skins who claim to be fans. Could probably count on one hand as a matter of fact. Everyone who actually watches the games or has football knowledge of some sort has an opinion on the team and while that opinion may differ from mine in a small way or large way, I read it, process it, and basically move on if the posting individual is not making any sense. Basically do what ehb5 does, ignore it.

We haven't played well in prime time games as of late and beating the Raiders this Sunday night at home is an opportunity for this team to make some sort of statement. Hell, the NFL rankings I saw this week (not sure where) had the Raiders at #2. Knock off #2 (rankings mean shit I know) and maybe we start to create a little buzz in NFL circles at least until the next week when we face #1. (Chiefs)

I also feel like we are do for a break out game on offense! This would be a great week to do it!

HTTR!!!

I would like to see another ball control game this Sunday so keep Oakland's offense off the field. I also would like to see Pryor/Cousin's step it up and I would love for Doctson/Cousin's to meet each other.

We HAVE to due for a good prime time game.

so let me get this straight , he had holes last week and he did ok ? he didnt have holes the week before and he is a stiff ?
Fat Rob had some very nice holes this past week and I felt like he didn't take advantage of the real-estate provided thus, leaving yards out on the field. So yes, my grade for this week was he did "ok". While Perine was shut down early on a few of his runs (partly due to his inexperience in an NFL game) I also feel like Perine will take advantage of said real-estate with his power running style. Not proclaiming Perine as Kareem Hunt just yet but let's test drive this new car a little more (might as well while the "other" car is in the shop) to see what we have under the hood. I'm certain the coaches understand by now what they have in Perine but, until you get him on the field in a real NFL game, you are never really sure regardless of how much football knowledge you have on a player.
If anyone on this board has ever called Kelly a "stiff", please show me as I don't believe Kelly would be our starting RB if considered a stiff.

HTTR!

You mean this Josh Rosen? People bitch the most about Cousins when he makes silly turnovers. Well - that is exactly what is occurring here - bad decision & bad throw. Difference between Cousins & Rosen is that Cousins made mistakes against quality NFL defenses. Rosen is already doing it against a low level college team with a terrible defense. Yep - he is the savior.

Here is what you don't get. We are not KC lovers. We support him and hope he does well because he is our QB. If he leaves this team, I don't think any of us are following him.

That being said, if he did lead us on a deep playoff run, and we offered him 30 million per season, and he said no...I would not blame him one bit. I would helped he sucks ass the following year but I wouldn't blame him for not signing with us.

the assumption we have to pay 34-38 mil a year for the avg KC is stupid especially when these "savior " qbs can be had for a fraction of that

the market might not be as forgiving as expected

As is the thought that if the Redskins make a deep playoff run (very unlikely) & Kirk bolts all of us will be super pissed off. First of all - extremely unlikely he would leave in that situation (especially to play for a horrible team) & they would figure out a way to make it work out cap wise. Beyond that - even if he leaves it will mean that the rest of the team would be very good & they would have extra cap room to boot.

Only an idiot views the team strictly based on the QB. Like I have maintained numerous times - this poster is either a fraud or a complete moron & I am starting to lean more towards the former. Nobody is that stupid.
