One other side note: In the sample size in mentioned in my OP, Solomon Hill had a positive plus/minus rating for those 37 starts. KCP's plus/minus rating with the Pistons was -1.9 last season.

I'll pass on giving him a contract.

So just curious, if given the chance to sign Solomon Hill back to his original 4 year 44M contract, or KCP at say 13M a year for 4 years, so 4 year 52M, you would choose Hill over KCP?

Yeah totally forgot about him. Still have to say all these guys on this list sans Vince Carter have more upside than he does, though.
Possibly. I agree with that though since Green has a tendency to be streaky. Still very good 3-and-D guy though.

There's not many teams out there that are going to go anywhere near 18M a year for him. There are actually very few teams next year with viable cap space. I think he's going to sign a 4 year 50M deal. Somewhere in the Waiters category in terms of contract money. No team is going to give anywhere close to 18M a year. The only reason he got the 18 this year was because it was a 1 year deal. If he were looking a multi year deal, I'm sure his options were much closer to 12M per.
a lot of the money is starting to dry up.

expiring contracts are going to start to be worth something again.

with a few teams tanking, and so much cap room- it was relatively easy to get off bad contracts the last couple years

that will not be happening in the upcoming couple years. Its going to be HARD to get off a bad contract or even a decent contract if yo uwant to open up cap room.

Where did you hear that?
In my fantasy league. They flag the injured players and put the date they expect them to return which is 11.2.17 which means it's small. I was actually thinking of picking him up. Another player dropped him already which was really premature

KCP is fine. Absolutely no indications that he's injured.

My bad - He has been suspended due to violations last season - It's not an injury - I actually might pick him up. I think he will do better than last year

I read an article earlier in the spring on CBS that KCP was a max contract candidate for this summer. Maybe that wasn't the best way to judge, but there's no way I give him $18 million a year. Way too streaky. The Lakers were the one team that could afford to do so since they were putting much their eggs in the 2018 free agent market.

The Lakers had money to spend! What were they supposed to do, not sign anyone and distribute the remaining cap space amongst the players they already have? Name one better free agent at the time who they could have signed!

Plus it's a one year deal which has no impact on 2018 whatsoever.

You still salty about the Lakers and the PG13 situation?

Anything else to confirm he's injured until a very specific date? Usually when a player is injured it's mentioned as early/mid/late (enter month here).
Nothing - It says injured and out until 11-2 atleast - I checked with ESPN, and the two days suspension is easily served in the first two games. I will look at LakersNation and Lakernation to see if there is anything else - they might be wrong - but honestly - I don't cBS has ever been wrong on this other then estimating the day of return by a few days

He's not injured. Don't believe everything you read on a fantasy forum.

They are usually right though - although it could have been an injury early training and they haven't removed it.

TLF, I don't see why this is so hard for you to understand! He's not injured and hasn't been for a while now.
