Pitcher killer.
I don't doubt you but I don't go back quite that far. 130-pitch games by Kerry Wood and Mark Prior are fresher on my mind. He killed a couple of prodigies in San Francisco too. Van Landingham or Van Landenberg or something like that.All time pitcher killer was Lasorda.
I've read that Nolan Ryan, Sam McDowell, Bert Blyleven, Steve Carlton, Tom Seaver and some of the pitchers from a couple eras back used to regularly go over 200 pitches in a game.
