Goldson blew it. He had a good year 2 years ago, but followed up last year with a dud. He's a hard hitting safety (when he actually makes the tackle) and he lacks coverage skills. Goldson just like franklin/lawson thought they were going to cash out this FA, with franklin the only one deserving. Obviously the other teams didnt see the magic either. Whitner is similar to Goldson, but comes with a better attitude and maybe a change of scenery will do him well. Wish goldson the best but have a nice day.

Just seems immature. You don't perform team negotiations through the media, it's a turn off to the team and the fans.

When you start talking about how much money you're going to make a year before you're a free agent, and then you have a sub-par year, you're not going to create any friends in the front office.

I think his problem is that he still hasn't realized that nobody is going to make him one of the highest paid FS's in the league like he is hoping for. I can't for the life of me understand why he feels he should get paid for what he did 2 years ago while laying an egg last season.

That's one of the first things that came to mind when i saw the fuss he was making. I remember on Mother's day he went out and bought his Mom a brand new car. He wasn't make that much either. I wonder if he regrets it now.

I was always lukewarm on this guy, but I'm REALLY surprised he hasn't landed somewhere. His asking price must be delusional.

Can you believe this? He was offered more money than McDonald and turned it down. What a tool.

One NFL source said the club offered Goldson a contract in excess of what was paid for defensive end Ray McDonald, who signed a five-year, $20 million contract.

Ha..now I'm very happy we didn't sign him. Those numbers sound about right for him.
