Just looked. Not sure how he can be overrated when nobody outside of Buffalo had heard of him until the Patriots signed him.

I hate those kinds of comments because some writer for "yardbarker" is trying to imply that he's smarter than Bill Belichick.

And a CB taking penalties isn't the worst thing in the world. The Legion of Boom in its prime took more penalties than anyone in the league and they were regarded as one of the best defenses in a decade.

Would be nice if there was some way to distinguish "stupid penalties" from the rest.

The LoB didn't get many penalties until the NFL started putting more restrictions on the CB's.

Surely you jest.
Not really. I'm talking from a fiscal stand point. Seattle is already tight cap wise. Releasing him and eating that $ could cripple Seattle if they have a serious injury or two.

They eat 1.8 mil, but save 2.2 for 2017 and besides the Seahawks at the moment have 8.7 in cap space. So actually benifits the Seahawks to move on from Krease.

If all 8 spots on the list aren't reserved for Eli Manning, then the list is wrong.

Let's allow Gilmore to play at least one pre-season game for NE before we call him over rated. Lesser talented players have come to NE and became rock stars.

Like Brandon Lloyd and Chad Johnson

Exactly. How long were they around?

I'm thinking guys with names like Hogan, Butler, Welker, Edelman... maybe you haven't heard of them? They're a group of castoffs and undrafted players who have seemed to do pretty well.

Eli is overrated. The only reasons he is considered to be a HOF are the fact his last name is Manning and he beat the Pats twice.

Ive seen many MANY games were he looks like a fucking civ

Pretty difficult to grade how Gilmore will turn out after a couple of OTAs. I know this is a difficult concept for a couple of you

I think there's a bit of a difference between bringing in 30+ year old receivers and bringing in a 26 year old CB. And Lloyd didn't suck.

Winning 2 SBs while being one of the worst QBs in the era can do that to ya. People can overinflate the value of a QB if he has a ring.

He's certainly not one of the worst QB's in the era. He's basically been average, but any HOF mention certainly etches Manning as overrated. He really shouldn't even be in consideration for Canton, but I believe he'll eventually get in.

Understood, and I won't throw a fit when he's elected to the Hall, but you cannot deny, he has two of the luckiest SB wins

The first one with the Tyree catch and the potential Samuel interception....I guess I can see something there. I'm not too sure what was luck when it came to 2011. I think you can make a case that the opposing QB in those two SB's has had far more luck when it comes to those big games, and thus he too, is overrated.

If everyone thinks Eli sucks, how is he so overrated
Because there are a LOT of dumb NY fans. It's pretty easy to understand for most of the civiized population.

I don't know about that. His Super Bowl 46 run was legit. Sure, Welker dropped that pass, but one dropped pass in the game doesn't qualify that whole win as lucky to me.
