UPDATE: Tiger Woods asleep at wheel in DUI arrest, police say
Apparently he was asleep at the wheel - pretty scary stuff. Regardless of whether it was prescription medication or alcohol this is very poor judgment. This guy needs help & he needs to check his ego & reach out to others & get professional help.
Exactly...it matters little what he was on...he was on too much of it for sure.
The sad part is he'll probably get a fine (very gentle slap on the wrist) and that's it.
was he pulled over? I keep getting conflicting reports.
I agree, he has the money to have a driver, have someone drive you.
the fact that he looks rough in his mug shot don't help his case. All of the initial reports were bullshit.
They now have the officers actual report. He was found asleep on the side of the road.
He just had back surgery, so it isn't totally unreasonable to believe him.
maybe not "addiction" but maybe he just took a little too much. Who can be sure?![]()
Well he has at least 15 years of dealing with all sorts of pain meds for a dozen different injuries.
So I do find it hard to believe this was accidental. To me it's more likely this is an addiction problem.
.
..and the initial report was bullshit ..they all said that he refused a Breathalyzer and that's why he was arrested.
The entire initial report was all wrong. swerving in the road ..the smell of Alcohol was all wrong.
But there was a urine sample submitted.
I bet it was a lot of the way the news travels these days, like a game of telephone. You have to wonder...how could they get a news reports like this wrong? Either you were there and saw it or you didn't.
Maybe I'm just getting too old, but what are you out doing at 3am? If I'm doing any kind of partying that late I'm staying where ever I am for the night.

This. An adverse effect of mixing medications isn't happening the middle of the night on the road. It's possible some mixture of alcohol and the meds caused a problem, but for him to imply it was an inadvertent mix of meds is baloney, IMO.
I'm not sure I'd ever drive if I had that much money.
Plus driving while drunk or on medication is fucking stupid anyway. He's just lucky he didn't kill somebody.
