Yet another extra innings game.
that isn't a may be we should only let him go 5 inn . gausman in the back of bp ? bring the chese . we can all see what britton is to this team . wonder why yaco isn't up already ? seems hunter Harvey may be in play late this year . oday worries the shit out of me .Bundy may be on a inning limit too so I don't know how long we can count on him. Miley is coming back down to earth and can't pitch more than 5 innings because he throws so many balls. Tillman hopefully can pitch like last year. #4 and #5 need to change. They both get lit up leaving the bullpen to be used up. Asher should get a chance to start and even Tyler Wilson. Gausman has a option so you can send him to AAA and use someone else in the pen or put Jimenez there.
I don't see him opting out. I just don't know how many opportunities are out there for him to make a major league roster.Monday is Michael Bourn’s opt-out date in his minor league contract with the Orioles, Jon Meoli of the Baltimore Sun reports.
Bourn is only hitting 188 at AAA with 0 homers. It'll be interesting what happens. Does he not opt-out?
At this point, if things hold, Davis will be on pace to strike out around 240 times this season. But at least on a positive note, he's walking a lot more as well. Either way, definitely not worth the production for what we paid him.Again they walk Manny, probably not on purpose and Davis strikes out. When will Buck move Davis out of the 4 spot and put someone else to protect Manny in the line up. If I'm playing the O's I'll keep walking Manny.
Write after I post this 2 rbi double. O's will be losing before he puts anyone in.
Who would you suggest we try to get if that does happen?(1) ... Or afterward?
(2) Insanity is starting Jimenez and expecting different results. If Buck won't at least demote him to the bullpen, maybe it's time to do the unthinkable (read: ask for a new manager)?
I think it's safe to say that this team needs 2-3 long relievers with how bad our starting pitching has been going. Is Vance Worley signed anywhere?
Who would you suggest we try to get if that does happen?
At this point, I'd consider a trade for him since he did decent here last year. He could probably be had for cheap. Might as well trade Kim for him at this point since it's not likely that he's going to be seeing a lot of playing time here in the near future and has a cheap contract. He's pitching for the Marlins the last time I checked...
I don't have specific names in mind... but by analogy of "try everyone in the farm system if the 25-man roster isn't getting the job done," I wouldn't mind taking the chance with promoting a minor league manager...
