Your Redskins vs. Eagles predictions

I see us coming out rather conservative and the Eagles coming after RG3 early to test if he is really ready. I think we will win this game, but not in a blow out fashion. My only real concern is RG3. Not his health, but his mindset in wanting to prove he is back and as good as always. I expect an ugly six point win, but a win none the less.

I agree with you. But I don't think the score will be quite that high. I'm thinking some where near the 27- 24, 28-24ish range.
Michael Vick is the X-factor. People are over looking him. Though he is inconsistent, he is more dangerous with his feet than with his arm.

And that i think is what will ultimately fuck Philly. Vick is more of a threat with his legs. For as much as people say RG3 needs to stop running, VICK really needs to stop. If the best they have is Vick and McCoy running it all season and a few passes from Vick, teams are going to make Philly pay for it. The true effectiveness of the read option is, it sucks teams up into the box thus opening up the passing game. Vick cant pass effectively. Not consistently any way. Its always been his flaw.

I am not expecting the same offense we saw last year before Griffin was hurt. There will be elements of it but I think it will be watered down to Pat White level with less running. I expect a lot of running and most passes to be 15 yards or less. Remember Griffin's first game against the Saints last year. He threw a lot of short passes. Look for the same and if they get the defense to pinch then look for a long pass in the 2nd half.

Robert is back but my guess is he is a year away from being the Robert before the injury.

I don't think Vick ever "had" it. It remains to be seen what this offense will look like in a game that means something. Redskins by 4.

Frankly, the Sheagles are a team the redskins have to beat to be considered a legitimate threat.

In the NFC, the only team that seems fairly complete to me is the Niners. It's a wide open field, and any
of the following teams could totally blow, or be in it in the end:

Redskins
Saints
Giants
Falcons
Niners
Packers
and probably the Shehawks.

Well, PFF has us winning 41-0 (according to the ESPN Article) so I guess some of these predictions aren't that crazy.

What scares me about this game:
-First game of the season, and if there is ever a time for an upset it's Week 1
-Mike Vick, especially Week 1, rested, healthy
-RG3 and potential rust
-Potential "gimmicks" or new looks from Chip Kelly and what that can mean. Staff has watched Oregon tape, but that's college.

Still see the 'Skins winning but not by a ton. 27-21.

Chip Kelly, like Pete crybaby in settle, are marginal coaches who won't be able to consistently win in the NFL, where everybody is fast, and they can't violate the rules and get away with it.

Redskins by 10, with a win never in doubt for the redskins despite only winning by ten.

Eagles should have trouble stopping the run. Skins should be able to run at will so I'm figuring they run and run and run some more. Keep the clock and ease Robert back with about 20 attempts. Get out of the gate with a time possession smack in the face type game.

I for one am not comfortable with this game. Griffins first game. Philly with an offense never seen in the NFL before. If the Skins defense does not adjust we may go down with alot of points against us. Too scary to pick for me. But Hail!
