When you subtract the 190 wins that Johnny Vaught got for them between
1947-1970, they're barely a .500 program for their history.

The sooner the NCAA comes down on them, the sooner they'll understand
who they can go after. Somebody's gonna wanna know how many scholarships
they'll be losing and for how many years.

A 3 or 4-year probation, with double digit scholly loses, will cost them a great
deal of money. Anybody who is decent, is gonna want millions...6 to 8-years
in length and full contract buy-out. I don't know if they could afford something like that.
If you take away Bobby Bowden from FSU they aren't looking very hot either. It's stupid to try eliminate A QUARTER OF THEIR FUCKING HISTORY!!!

I understand all of that, but I was making a point. Ole Miss was only challenging under Vaught.
FSU has had other coaches who have produced. Bobby won 76.4% of his games. But Don
Veller won 71.5% of his and Fisher currently has won 82.1% of his.

FSU overall is 68.7%. If you subtract Bobby, they are still above 60% at 60.4%.

History has shown that if you know what you're doing you can win at FSU, because of
the HS talent in the state. History at Ole MIss has proven that Johnny Vaught was a
helluva coach who won over 70% of his games over 23 years. After that, they are barely
over 500 for the other 101 years. W/O JV they have no history. Freeze did OK for
a few years, but he had to cheat like hell to do that.

Those are the facts. Sorry if you disapprove

Les Miles is 63 years old.
He just mike take the Ole Miss job to finish out his career.
No stress, just ride out the mess, all is good.

No way an up and coming coach takes it.
He would be a dead man walking.

IMHO Coach Miles is not a great cultural fit, but you make a solid point. He would do a great job at changing the culture in Ole Miss and it would benefit both sides. Coach Miles could coach out the rest of his career, run a clean program and by the time Ole Miss gets through the sanctions he will be ready to retire. Win/win.

I wonder what the Oklahoma record would look like if you take out Bud Wilkinson, Barry Switzer, and Bob Stoops.

asking for a friend.

It would be better than Ole Miss w/o Vaught.

OU...all-time has won 72.1% of its games. (872-321-53)

The trio you speak of won 81.8% of their games (492-106-8)

What remained was OU going 380-215-45 62.9%

At least we are beginning to understand why "drinking at the Grove"
is so well known. Those poor folks need a drink

Yeah he is. We've been over this.

Explain how the best DB class in state history has all but been ignored by Sumlin and maybe it will start to dawn on you......

Sumlin is doing HORRIBLE in recruiting. He's landing nobodies, and as usual, his strategy defies all logic. He's going to land one safety in the best pool of DB talent in the history of the state, and YOU think he's doing a good job, LMAO

Meanwhile Texas has 5 of the top 6 players in state committed. Yeah aggy, tell us again what a great job Sumlin is doing, it must be AMAZEBALLS
We just picked up another good recruit yesterday. :thumb:

With 5 Olineman, suspended or quit, LSU is in big trouble. Les just might take the job and beat LSU his first year.
