Injuries are part of the game. Good franchises and teams overcome them or at least survive during them (see the Steelers) and don't s*** the bed. 0-7 in the NFL with the players on this roster even minus Romo is embarrassing. Plain and simple. Perhaps, Hardy Karma. The Panthers are 9-0
The Steelers would not have overcome losing Big Ben and Brown for almost half of the season. Sorry. The games that Ben missed, they still had Bell and Brown. Bell got hurt after Big Ben came back. The Cowboys were without a superstar offensive weapon for four games and Dez hasn't even looked like himself since he came back. This is not to mention all of the other injuries the Cowboys have had. I'm not trying to make it excuses, but you are making it seem like it's that black and white. All good teams don't overcome substantial injuries. Some of them crumble, like the Cowboys have.

Make no mistake about Andre, I'm just as mad as you are. I know we are in deep shit and I know our team looks bad, but as long as the rest of the NFC East keeps leaving the door open, there's no reason to give up just yet. We are on life support, but there's still a chance, because the Giants and Eagles don't look like they want to win the division. Honestly, the Redskins have looked better of late. We get to play them twice so the chance to salvage the season is still there, even if there is just a little chance.

Excuses are for losers. After a 12-4 season and with the alleged talent on this team, 2-7 with a 7 gamee losing streak is about as bad as it can get. 3-13 was bad but led to Aikman while 1-15 was the precursor for greater things to come. This season will likely finish with some dumb Romo winning streak so Jerrah can make an argument that we were not high enough to pick a QB.

So you believe that Cassel and Weeden are starters in the NFL?

So you believe that Cassel and Weeden are starters in the NFL?

Cassel took over for Brady once upon a time and took the Patriots to the playoffs. Not starters, but they are not awful. The Cowboys have lost games during this 7 game stretch because:

1. All star WRs dropping critical passes or getting held for 45 yards by a former teammate that was cut.
2. An All-Star kicker can't make a 40 plus yard kick.
3. The defense can't stop the other team in critical situations whether it be overtime or last minute possessions.
4. Special teams gaffes by 3rd receivers while former 3rd receivers scortch us on special teams.
5. Horrible, horrible offense play calling. The OC did not give Weeden a chance and did not call good games for Cassel.
6. Terrible front office personnel who made decisions like thinking Weeden was a viable option as a back up, Beasley was greater than Harris, and that having a psyche ward would be condusive to building a team.

Just because a team is 500 doesn't mean they are easy. If you are going to sit here and call Seattle not a good team, I have nothing to say.

Seattle looking real good at home right now........like a below average team.

BS....A smart receiver continues to make a play or defend the ball or sells pass interference there. He is not the sharpest tool in the shed.....Also, he dropped the 3rd and one....
Whether he sold it or not or how smart he is is irrelevant. That is pass interference. Now, you are just being negative for no reason.

So Weeden was not terrible, and not the reason we lost ... but the front office was stupid for getting Weeden as a back up?

You want to criticize everything so bad you can't even keep track of it all.

Weeden was not terrible in two of the three games he lost - the defense and play calling had much to do with it. The coaches did him no favors but when he is your back up when you have a 35 year old QB who has sufferred some injuries, you are asking for trouble and hence why they ran out to get Cassell.

And it gets called if he falls to the ground....
It should be called anyway. That is the point. Pass interference is pass interference whether it is sold or not. Dez was blatantly pushed and that affected his chances of catching the ball. That is clear PI.

I agree 100% that it was PI. I am just saying that at that stage in the game, Dez has to fall to the ground for them to call it. Surprised they did not given the holding call on the goal line fumble but such is life.

If you are gonna call that ticky rack hold on Heath, you can't "let em play" on the Dez no call

2. An All-Star kicker can't make a 40 plus yard kick.

even the top rated kicker of all time will miss on occasion
That's not why we lost the game !!!!!!
Not scoring Touchdowns is why we lost the game not the refs not the missed kick not the defense

Touchdowns not field goals lost the game

It was not average teams. Atlanta, Seattle, and Giants on the road are not easy games. Philly and Saints at their building are not easy as well.
looks like average at best to me.
