Hawks are in a tough situation with Penny... What if he goes off in our last 4 games? Do we resign him?

No, move on... It'll be the same thing as it was with Carson. Is Carson good and does it suck he got injured? Yes. Was it a big surprise when he did? No.

Look if we can resign Penny for cheap then fine... but otherwise move on and see what else you have on the roster. This is why I graded AP signing as basically an F. Put out Josh Jones and see if SOMETHING is there? End of day, I was happy to see Carson return but kind of eye rolled when I saw the contract and was like, "Well that's nice, until he gets injured."

And before we get all "WOOOOOOO! PENNY!" we just played the worst rush defense in the NFL while they had multiple guys out and guys get injured during the game.... Assuming he doesn't get injured during practice or on the way to the airport, let's see what Penny does against the nearly top 5 Rams rush D next week...

That's a big if. Remember this game was against the worst run D in the league. That skews things when he's been awful otherwise.

Seattle Offense 7-13 on 3rd downs! this is great to see!
Texans Offense 3-13 on 3rd down also great to see but this Texans team is as bad or worse than the Jags lol.

I get that and understand that it's a "big if"... But look around the league... How many teams have healthy starting RB's? Seems like almost every teams starter has missed time... I think it's another big reason RB's don't have the big contracts anymore outside of it being more of a passing league now...

this game could jump Seattle's Defense to #5 in the League in Scoring if Green bay doesn't improve their Points against. Need the Bears to put up 21 on the Packers :P

oh hey! Hawks are 2-0 with me wearing my sweet new Seahawks Hat! hehe :P

That's fine, but we know their both injury prone... move on... There's some young guys on the roster and a lot of RBs are plug and play or can be had in the 3rd-4th rounds. Focus on spending the money on the line instead....

I agree with Shark, he has proven he is just a injury waiting to happen. If the Hawks can get him back on a one year Prove it deal for "Pennies" then sure do it other wise let him walk.

Haven't we been asking to do this for the entirety of PC's reign?

I think it was last year when they showed no other team has committed as much resources on the Oline than the Seahawks have so it's not about getting Oline help it's about stop sucking at drafting and picking up Oline help! They can't just draft 6 Olineman with their 6 picks and hope a couple stick. They have to hit on the oline players they take.

Wilson didn't get sacked today. When's the last time that happened?

The Texans hardly got any pressure on him. Not saying much when the Texans Defense is 19th in the league for sacks but heck Seattle is 30th! I was happy to see Wilson actually STEP UP into the pocket today instead of trying to go out the back side and running into a sack.

Almost a year ago against Washington, 12-20-20.... was not sacked in the prior week 12-13-20 against the lowly Jets (he was also pulled that game, and Geno Smith was sacked once lol). Last time before that? 9-22-19 against New Orleans.

Wilson since 2017 has only had 4 games where he was sacked 0 times... (the above and SFO in November 2017). 2018 every game he was sacked at least once. Not sure about prior to that... edit: I guess today would make 5 times since 2017 lol.

wish we could see how many times he ran into sacks where stepping up he would have avoided them. In his career I would say there is over a dozen sacks that way at least, heck maybe 2 dozen. I bet there is also another Dozen where he is running around and could have easily thrown the ball away and got sacked.

If they get a RB no reaches no sleepers when ever you decide to draft a RB then draft the best one on the board what ever round it is. No more cute shit!

Carroll: "Well yes, we drafted a *5'9 175 lb* receiver in the 2nd round, but we feel we can teach him to play runningback. Also, we're excited about the defensive line prospects we drafted, as we're going to try them at safety and potentially linebacker! We feel they'd be good fits here."

Not sure why people think that Penny is going to get a significant contract in the offseason. Even if he has a really strong final 4 games, he is still a guy who is extremely injury prone.

yep it was never a issue with his talent it's always been his durability, or lack there of. No one wants to pay someone that only plays 50% of the time in the best of worlds because they are ALWAYS injured. I also feel Penny will be "limited" this week in practice I bet. lol
