That is a rough week in anyone's books. I could see them dropping one early in the week looking forward at the tough weekend games, and then losing either 1 or both of the weekend games. I wouldn't be surprised by anything from 1-3 to 3-1. I would be surprised if they lost all 4, barring injury. I would be very impressed if they won all 4 and may have to move them to my favorite to win it all this year.
Crown their ass if they go 4-0
Even if they go 4-0 or 0-4 it doesn't change myond about them being the best in the east lol. A couple of games doesn't change my mind about teams at all
If they go 4-0 then I will change my avatar to a Hawks logo for a week. That's how sure I am they won't.
A couple of random games would not change my mind, but the GS and Mem games would mean more to me than a couple of random games. Since they only see these teams 2X a year and these are the top teams in the West it really is a measuring stick of just how good they are in my eyes.
I am still going with my preseason pick of Cleveland coming out of the East (I just threw up a little). Until Atlanta shows they can beat them with their full lineup it is going to be hard for me to be swayed. The Cavs new roster with some time together are looking pretty good right now. However, beating the top two teams in the West, a top team in the East, and a up and coming Pelicans team in a single week would go a long ways to changing my mind.
They will go 4-0. The Hawks will amass a run of victories leading into the playoffs. They will slay giants, dethrone kings, dodge the Fates, and beat the odds at every turn. They will do all of this despite dysfunctional ownership, despite luke warm home support, despite being over-matched and outgunned time and again. They will have the most improbable season and be in limbo directly following. Their off-season will be a publicly played out series of embarrassments, humiliations, missteps, mistakes, bumbles, fumbles, and WTFs. The players' feats will be remembered by those who truly love the game, but the franchise ownership will frack it up royale and only ashes will remain.
