All he would have to do is put on a Patriots jersey.
nah, otherwise john friesz would be a legend here.

jimmy has better pocket awareness and is more "pocket ready" than wilson purely as a pocket QB.

Of course he does. It's pretty obvious that this is the case even though Garoppolo has all 27 snaps in the NFL.

He was impressive in that Buffalo game.

he was vs KC...tho it was vs prevent, he still looked really good in between the tackles. he went 7-10 i think. all solid throws, most in the pocket.

True. That's all you really need to gauge a QB. A few throws in mop up duty. That's what really defines the greatness of a QB.

and on that same note, 200 yards/game and a TD shows how elite someone is.

right?

He does exactly what is asked of him. Which includes stepping up in big time situations.

Why do I have this weird feeling you weren't of the same mind about young quarterbacks in 2003?

I dunno if he is elite. He's a 3rd year quarterback. Not many 3rd year quarterbacks have ever been elite.

I'm just happy he is the quarterback for my team. He is 100% the single biggest reason why the Seahawks have been to the last 2 Super Bowls. We don't draft Wilson we don't make either Super Bowl.

well, night and day scenario.

drew was the highest paid QB in world history at the time he went down. he was the franchise. he is also a borderline HOFer (dont laugh i will drown you in comparative stats)

wilson replaced who, travaris jackson?

brady was a total unknown, barely drafted. wilson was what, 2nd round?

the defense and running game are the biggest reasons.

Wow. Just wow. Tom Brady was a total unknown? That's right. He played for some podunk college that wasn't really known for producing quarterbacks. I forget the name of the school though. Starts with an M I think.

Wilson was drafted in the 3rd and the Seahawks were savaged for the overreach. But yeah, a 3rd rounder and a 5th rounder are absolutely no comparable.

I have no idea what Drew has to do with this conversation.

as a commodity, yes....total unknown. those michigan teams were all about henson. you watched right?

brady was "the other guy".

you DID watch right?

and umm, who went in the 5th round? and the guy each replaced has EVERYTHING to do with it.

Just like the defense and kicking game were the reasons why the Patriots won their first 3 Super Bowls.
true to a point. did wilson have an MVP in any of his superbowls? i know someone did early...

Henson didn't start a game until Brady left. Brady won two Big Ten championships as a starter.

6th round. That changes everything. :L

huh?

henson and brady notoriously split time. henson got into 7 games in 98 and 9 in 99. "starting" was just the guy taking opening snaps.

you DID watch right?

and accuracy is key, so yes...6th vs 5th is a big error on your part.

In 1999 Tom Brady had 323 pass attempts. Drew Henson had 45.
In 1999 Tom Brady had 295 pass attempts. Drew Henson had 89.

Yeah, split time.

I actually did watch as I follow Michigan. But my game to game memory of football games from 16 years ago gets a little hazy

Yup. Massive huge error that I said 5th and not 6th. Completely discredits my point because a 6th round draft pick is a complete unknown while everyone knows that 3rd round draft pick QBs are usually locks.
