I'll be in attendance for Atlanta next week.

I think we're backing out on going to Talladega. Bunch of married dudes can't get away from their wives, and I'm not going by myself.

Martinsville in the Fall is still on for me and my ole Grandpa.

This timed repairs rule is gonna lead to a lot of rushed repairs not done properly and causing further cautions. I have a feeling this rule won't last the season.

And the time of going down pit road and leaving the pits counts towards your time as well?

That strange strategy of manufacturers coming in early and together has worked well for the Fords and not so well for the Toyotas. All those Fords in the top ten is a result.

I think the stage rule is going to cause an exponential increase in red flags, which will only further hurt the TV ratings by turning off casual viewers. They may need to change it and add Overdrive to the stages.

Well Danica is now in the top three. Isn't that special! Harvick takes stage two.

I thought the same...there wasn't a crash on that last stage, but there was certainly some aggressive moves happening

Yeah, but honestly, that's really the only knock I have for the stages so far. The way I understand it is a stage can end under caution.

Yeah, that was a decent sized crash. but other than near the end of a race, that might be the smallest crash I've ever seen that lead to a red flag.

There was a stage that ended under caution yesterday.

Smallest in terms of severity of impacts, it would definitely be in the conversation. In terms of number of cars, the 1991 Bud at the Glen comes to mind when a fatal crash involving J.D. McDuffie and Jimmy Means brought out a red flag that lasted about an hour if memory serves me right.

That's a good point...since there wasn't a massive pack it was a smaller pile up, but it still led to a red

That was before my time. There's been a few single or two car crashes that resulted in red flags the past few seasons because of damage to the SAFER barriers that I recall.
