It depends on the suspensions from the great 2014 PURGE>

Texas will eventually get a lot of the suspended player back (hopefully).
I think Charlie Strong made his point.

Half the darn team was suspended.
The other half was kicked off the team or injured.

I think Strong realizes that (suspensions on top of ejections on top of injuries) might have been overkill after the BYU game.

He will let a lot of the players back soon......maybe for UCLA (???)
UCLA has been playing like crap...they could easily be 0-2 versus two poor opponents.

This game will be a lot close than it seems depending on whom Strong lets actually play.

Well there is hope then Codaxx. Hundley is vulnerable to turnovers, especially when he is running for his life which seems to be quite often.

UCLA sucks and is vastly overrated. Unfortunately, we suck even worse. Shawn Watson's atrocious play calling does us in for the 2nd week in a row. That fucking guy will be the reason we have a losing season this year:

UCLA 17
Texas 7

I don't see this team committing 6 turnovers again putting the opponent in excellent field position each time. Watson's awful game plan did nothing to help out the defense. Did you watch the game?

Yup the play calling committed the turn overs. He specifically said "don't hold on to the ball". Plus, the box score only shows 3 fumbles and 1 INT.

The offensive play calling also caused the defense to the standard long horn dive at the feet tackle attempt, lack of basic tackling skills, and quit exhibited by the defense.

I will agree that the play calling didn't help, but to put this all on the play calling is a stretching it.

How many DC has Texas gone through in the last couple of years? I couldn't see much difference between the effort last year and this year. Maybe its the players and not the coaches?

Was just listening to Longhorn Extra and they said 6 turnovers; I didn't think they committed that much, so it might have been a mistake. Definitely the players. Worst recruits I have seen to grace the 40 Acres since the late 80's to mid 90's

:agree:

Look, I`m an Aggie and even I want to see the horns be a top team in college football. Even if I have to put up with some of you over the top fans.

I would love to see A&M and Texas be like Florida, Miami, and FSU in the 90s. You could throw in Baylor or Tech as the third. I think Texas is the most fertile ground for football, and there is no reason in my mind why the college teams in The Great State of Texas can't prove that to the rest of the country. A&M is just starting to live up to their potential, Art Bryles has thing going in the right direction at Baylor, and Texas just need to get their ship righted.

Oh, and if we could just get that game back that used to be played on Thanksgiving, that would be great.
